Sweet Treats Birthday Card

Hi Everyone - well, Mom gave me some inspiration yesterday. She told me to go find a cartridge that I had that I HAD NEVER USED and make something with it!! Well, we won't discuss just how many cartridges that I found that fit that description. I told Mom that she had gone to "meddlin' now" by giving me that instruction. But as the saying goes, "Mom's know best" and that holds true in this situation.

Our family has "way too many" birthdays in the month of September - so many that it boggles the mind - so I decided I better get started on making some of those cards.
I chose to make a card with the Sweet Treats cartridge (we will not discuss just how long I've had this cartridge without using it). It has lots of birthday ideas on it and you can make a card from every image on the cartridge. Just what I needed.
I cut the card base at 8" and then cut the layers using some patterned and glitter paper that I got at Big Lots. You can really find some bargains at that store if you hit it on the right day!! I punched holes for the ribbon and stamped the first of many Happy Birthday's with a stamp from the Dollar Bin at Michael's.

Thank you for visiting and we hope you'll come again soon!! You'll be seeing a LOT of birthday cards in the next few weeks. I think Mom counted 14 birthdays this month. Now that's just wrong!! Well, until another day, God Bless!! Donna

  2. I'm with you. I have about a bazillion gazillion birthdays in September. Well . . . that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I'm just sayin'! I love the Sweet Treats cartrdige and have used it to make cupcake cards, and a birthday cake card. I love how this birthday gift card came out. Gonna have to check that one out. Thanks for the inspiration!
