THANK YOU SO MUCH - A CHILD'S YEAR, DIGITAL DELIGHTS BY LOUBY LOO

Hi Everyone - I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.  We sure did - Mom and Max came for a visit.  We had so much fun with them.  I think Max got even more spoiled while he was here - he forgot how to walk.  He was carried everywhere - HA!!!  Needless to say, he's precious!!  Here is a picture that Jacob took of Mamaw and Max during their visit:

Now isn't that the cutest picture of both of them??  Here's another revelation - while Mom was here, we didn't craft the whole time - we played with Jacob and Max!!  HA!!!

Since they left, I made some thank you cards using a free digi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo

  • I used the snowflake card on the Cricut Cartridge A Child's Year.  I cut the card at 5 x 7 size.
  • I cut the patterned paper to 6 3/4" x 2 3/4".
  • I then punched with the Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.
  • I adhered the digi to green cardstock and popped in the center of the card.
  • I used the negative of the snowflake cutout on the front of the card along with a snowflake embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all the comments and visits during the past year.  We hope that you will have a Happy New Year and that 2012 brings you peace and happiness.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

CHRISTMAS BAGS AND TAGS GALORE - GINGERBREAD CARTRIDGE

Hi Everyone!  Merry Christmas Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve!!!!!  I've been making gift tags and bags for Jacob's teachers and my boss.  I just love decorating gift bags - I think it adds that little extra touch that shows you care enough to take the time to create something nice for the person!!

As I said many times before, I HAVE THE BEST BOSS IN THE WORLD!!  I made her a basket full of goodies that she likes including gift card money!!  I made the gift tag for her basket using the Gingerbread Cartridges cutting at 4".

This next bag is for Jacob's Horizon Teacher, Mr. Landry.  For this gift bag I used Gingerbread again, I cut the candy cane at 4" and the tag at 3 1/4".  I found this little bag at Joann's tonight at 70% off - so I only paid 29 cents for it.  I just love a bargain.

The next bags I bought at Walmart for 97 cents each.  I cut a white rectangle at 5 1/4" x 4 1/4".  I embossed it with the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.  I then cut a 4" snowman using Gingerbread and embossed it with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  I cut tags for the bags at 3 1/2".

I think they all turned out pretty!!  I'll be spreading Christmas Cheer all day tomorrow!!  Thanks for stopping by - we appreciate your visits and your comments.  Stay safe as you go out in the madness of Christmas shopping.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge - Use a Tag

Today on Fantabulous Cricut (be sure to check out all the Design Team creations) the theme is to use a tag somewhere on our projects.  As you know there are a lot of cartridges with a tag feature.  I chose Damask Decor for my tag.

Card Recipe:
5"X6.5" Card Base
Background Paper - DCWV Shimmer Paper
Present and Sentiment - Yummy Imagine Cartridge cut at 5".
Tag - Damask Decor
Gem Flourish - Reflections from Michael's
Ribbon - the cut I used from the Yummy cartridge prints a bow but I thought it made the present look like a flower pot so I covered it with a bow.
Edge punched with Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Edge Punch.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I know this is an extremely busy time of year, so your visits are especially meaningful.  Let us not forget in our hustle and bustle to remember why we celebrate this season, the Lord Jesus.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

A Child Is Born - George, Digital Delights by Louby Loo

Hi Everyone – It’s been a long time since I posted something.  For my post for Digital Delights by Louby Loo, I chose to use the set, “A Child Is Born.”  The inspiration for my card came from the blog  Everyday Cricut.

To form the cardbase, I used Cricut Craftroom and George to weld together the rounded triangle, rectangle, and squares.  I covered the cardbase with green cardstock.  I then printed off all the digis and cut them out.

I adhered the sentiment to the front of the card, the 3 Wise Men to the middle layer of the card, and all the other digis to the center of the card.  During this time of year, we all need to remember the real reason for the season.

Background Paper - DCWV The Christmas Combo Paper Stack
Gift and Teddy Bear - Santa's Village
Embellishment - Dec. 25th

Santa's Village Imagine Cartridge Card # 2

I have loved Santa's Village since the first card I saw made with it.  I have a few more cards to make so I pulled it out.  The Imagine makes cards so easy to create.

Card Recipe:

5"X6.5" card base
Santa's Village Imagine Cartridge - Santa Image cut at 3.5.  I cut 2 of them and stacked them with foam adhesive.
Background Paper - The Paper Studio Holly Jolly 8X11.5 Christmas Paper purchased at Hobby Lobby
Ribbon from Michael's.

This card was very easy to make.  I have to tell myself easy is good.  My personality is such that if I don't spend hours on a card, I feel like I cheated.  Pitiful, aren't I?  LOL

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday - Present Time

Today at Fantabulous Cricut, the theme is Present Time.  My Design Team mates have created some outstanding projects.  My project is a card I made a few weeks ago.  I added a present to the original card.

I love the Imagine Cartridge Santa's Village.  It is loaded with vintage images.  Please visit this link for my original post and please visit Fantabulous Cricut to see all the creations of my team mates.  They are an incredibly talented group of women.

Thank you so much for visiting with us today.  Max has been keeping me busy.  It's like having a child in the house.  But he is so sweet.  It's funny how this dear little puppy has moved into the heart of someone who thought she didn't want an animal in the house.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

I Have A New Guy In My Life

My life has been turned upside down the past two days.  I have shocked my family beyond belief and it's all because of the new guy in my life.  He is handsome, stylish and showers love on me unconditionally.  My brother introduced us and it was love at first sight.  His name is Max and he already has a special place in my heart.  Would you like to meet him.  Well, you will see why I'm so enamored.  Ladies & Gentlemen, may I present  Max.

Isn't he just adorable.  My brother rescued him from an owner who had tossed him out of the house into the cold and I took him in.  He was in pretty rough shape, so we spent the afternoon getting him groomed and visited the vet.  Now what has shocked my family so is that I have always said I did not want an animal in my house.  Now I have Max under foot all day long.  He follows me everywhere I go.  It's like having a child in the house.  He has disrupted my organized life.  But he's so sweet.

Speaking of shocking my family, my grandson, Christopher, called me.  This was his opening lines, "Max, huh?  Is the world coming to an end?  What have you done with my grandmother?"  Donna and Jacob video called me last night so they could see him.  Jacob called me today and asked me when I was coming for Christmas so he could play with Max.  My son and especially my daughter in law are thrilled.  My son had asked me at Thanksgiving what kind of dog I wanted for Christmas.  I emphatically told him I did not want a dog.  Well the moral of this story is "Never say never."  LOL

Thanks for letting us share our little experience with you.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy
