My life has been turned upside down the past two days. I have shocked my family beyond belief and it's all because of the new guy in my life. He is handsome, stylish and showers love on me unconditionally. My brother introduced us and it was love at first sight. His name is Max and he already has a special place in my heart. Would you like to meet him. Well, you will see why I'm so enamored. Ladies & Gentlemen, may I present Max.
Isn't he just adorable. My brother rescued him from an owner who had tossed him out of the house into the cold and I took him in. He was in pretty rough shape, so we spent the afternoon getting him groomed and visited the vet. Now what has shocked my family so is that I have always said I did not want an animal in my house. Now I have Max under foot all day long. He follows me everywhere I go. It's like having a child in the house. He has disrupted my organized life. But he's so sweet.
Speaking of shocking my family, my grandson, Christopher, called me. This was his opening lines, "Max, huh? Is the world coming to an end? What have you done with my grandmother?" Donna and Jacob video called me last night so they could see him. Jacob called me today and asked me when I was coming for Christmas so he could play with Max. My son and especially my daughter in law are thrilled. My son had asked me at Thanksgiving what kind of dog I wanted for Christmas. I emphatically told him I did not want a dog. Well the moral of this story is "Never say never." LOL
Thanks for letting us share our little experience with you. God Bless You!!! Peggy

He's adorable, Peggy. You won't believe how much you will love him. I had a miniature schnauzer for over 14 years and lost her last January. I still feel the loss. She was truly my girl.(I have 4 boys and 4 grandsons) So we stuck together. Treasure every moment.
ReplyDeletePeggy, Max is such a precious "baby". (That's what I call my two yorkies- my babies) Oh, you did a wonderful thing and you will not be sorry. Look at that face, I would love to come by and just kiss him. God Bless You and Max, actually he has already blessed Max by brining him into your loving life. I wish you both the best life together. Thank you for sharing your story and Max's picture.
ReplyDeletePeggy, who could blame you? I am a cat person myself, but I would not have resisted that face. He is so handsome!!! Such a cutie :)

ReplyDeletePeggy,
ReplyDeleteHeis so handsome. It is hard to believe that someone would put him out in the cold. Now I do not know who is the luckiest, you, or Max. I do know that both of you have a new improved and happy life. He is just adorable. Max looks like he might be related to one of my babies. If you get a chance take a look at them on my blog.

Peggy, Max is ADORABLE!!! Sounds like he has your heart already!!! HAPPINESS~~~
ReplyDeleteOh Peggy, he is SO cute! Jill and I have both agreed that we will forever have a dog in our home... unless we get to where we can't properly care for them. Choxie and Ozzy are our kiddos, so we couldn't imagine a day without them here. Sounds like you have a forever friend in Max and you will be rewarded with an extra special love that only comes from a grateful dog. They know when they have been rescued and will love you to the point that you will never forget why God brought you two together. I am so excited for you!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, welcome to the family Max (:
ReplyDeleteHe's going to be a wonderful companion, I hope you have many happy years together.
