Paper A La Mode Challenge - Monochromatic

At The Outlawz our Saturday Paper A La Mode Challenge is Monochromatic.  It is sponsored by Rick St. Dennis.  Rick is a monthly sponsor and I have some beautiful digis from him.  Some of his art is a little dark and I don't like it but I love his "hat ladies" and "fashion ladies".  He has a little to offer almost everyone.  I love the digi I chose for this card.  I think it's based on his niece.

Card Supplies:
Card Base, Die, Snowflake, Sentiment - from Anna Griffin's 2013 Holiday Card Set.  I didn't use all the elements to make my Christmas cards last year so they're coming in handy on other projects.
Image - Angel-Isabella Face by Rick St. Dennis.
Media used to color image:
Hair - Promarkers - Gold, Tulip Yellow, Primrose
Skin - Almond, Sunkissed Pink, Baby Pink
Gown, Shoes, Ribbon - Gold Gel Pen, Promarker - Cool Gray 1
Wings - Almond
Flowers - Sunflower, Tulip Yellow, Leaf Green, Forest Green, Cardinal Red
Eyes - Grey Green

This is a close up of the beautiful Angel-Isabella.

Thank you for joining us today.  I hope you will come on over to The Outlawz PAM Challenge and enter your beautiful 'monochromatic' projects.  I can't wait to see them.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

Through The Craft Room Door - October 7-21

The challenge starting today on TTCRD is sponsored by Deedee's Digis.  Her digis are new to me but I really like them.  I hope you will participate in this challenge.  It's always Anything Goes.  To me anything goes challenges are the easiest.  I chose Deedee's 'Endless Beginnings' for  my project.  There was a colored digi, line art digi, and lots of sentiments with this set.

Card Supplies:
5X5 card base - From the Cricut Cartridge - Creative Cards
Banner and Scrollwork - Creative Cards Cricut Cartridge
Image and Sentiment from Deedee's Digi's 'Endless Beginnings' Set

I know this is a clean and simple card but it conveys the message I want to send my friend who is suffering from stage 4 cancer.  Unless God performs a miracle (which we're all praying for) he'll not be with us long.  It brings back so many memories of my husband's battle with cancer.  Those memories are etched in my brain forever.

Thank you, dear friends for stopping by today.  If you haven't seen the latest issue of Through The Craft Room Door magazine, please click on the video at the right of this post.  I hope your week will be blessed.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Paper A La Mode Challenge - Inspired By A Movie

We begin a new challenge today at The Outlawz Paper A La Mode.  Our theme is 'Inspired By A Movie'.  Our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis.  When I read what the challenge would be I couldn't think of a movie I would use.  So I went to Rick's Zibbett Page to look at his images to see if I could get any inspiration.  When I saw this image it brought back memories of when I was a little girl.  (Yes, I was once young)  My grandmother took me to see "Alice In Wonderland" when it first came out and I loved that.  I loved the fact she took me to the movies periodically.  She would take me to see a movie, then we would stop next door at drugstore that served food for a hot dog.  Such special times.  See you never know what the little things you do for people will mean to them, especially children.

Back to my card.

Card Supplies:
Card Base - Bracket Shaped Card - Silhouette file #54161
Image - Alice in Garden of Live Flowers by Rick St. Dennis
Cheshire Cat in Tree - Silhouette File #9067 by Samantha Walker

Folded Shirt Card

September is the birthday month in our family.  This coming Saturday is my brother-in-law's birthday.  He and my sister are big fans of my cards so I wanted to make him one he will like.  I hope this one fits the bill.

Card Supplies:
Tutorial for Folded Shirt Card - There are several on the internet but I found this one to be helpful.  I had printed off one from Martha Stewart but there were no pictures and I need pictures. This one has pictures and a video.  It's from Card Making Magic.com.
Paper is from my stash.  Thinner paper is better.
Ink for inking the edges of the tie.
White gel pin for making stitches on the pocket on the inside.

This is the inside of the card where I will write my sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today.  If you've got a masculine card you need to make.  Try one of these cards.  They're easy.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

Beccy's Place - Dog Tales

Beccy Muir of Beccy's Place Blog is a talented artist.  She designs digistamps.  She has a variety of stamps in her shop.  I love a lot of her designs, especially the flowers.  I wish I could get them all.  I have a flower card to share with you next Friday but today I want to share with you one of her August releases.  It's called Dog Tales.  I especially loved the little dog I used.

Card Base - Silhouette Online Store file #50360 Paw Print Spray Card by Suzanne Cannon.
Image - Bassett from Beccy's Dog Tales Image Set. This one is pre-colored.
Bones - Another Silhouette File but I couldn't find the ID #.  The name is Bone.  I cut several sized of these.
Sentiment is computer generated.

I didn't take a picture of the inside but it had a bigger bone like the one on the front and it said "Sorry you're sick."  I gave this card to a friend who was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  He is struggling terribly so your prayers for him will be appreciated.  I hate cancer.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope all your news this week will bring joy to your heart.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

Through The Craftroom Door Challenge

Today starts another 2 weeks challenge at Through The Craftroom Door.  It is Team B of the Design Team's time to prepare projects for this challenge.  I am on Team B.  The challenge is always Anything Goes.  We could use any image we wanted to.  I chose the Fuschia Birdhouse from Sandi'ssamples. I Googled Fuchsia plants and found quite an array of pictures.  The one I used as an example had bright brilliant colors with red veins in the leaves.  I hope I didn't get it too bright.

Supplies Used:
A2 Card Base
Image - Sandi's Samples Fuchsia Birdhouse
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Anna Griffin Die
Ribbon
Pearls
Promarkers used to color image

Eureka Stamps Challenge - Something With Wings

The Eureka Stamp Challenge for today is Something With Wings.  I'll bet you can't guess which item with wings I chose.  Oh, you cheated.  You looked at the picture.  I love butterflies and the fact they represent New Life.  I made this card with no coloring and I loved it.

Card Supplies:
5X5" card base - it is actually a label I bought from the Silhouette online store.  The item # is 40390.  I opened the label in Silhouette Studio, sized to the size I needed, mirror imaged it and welded the two together.  I think it made a pretty ornate card.
Image - Eureka Image #40403 Happiness Like a Butterfly
Die Cut - Anna Griffin Die
Flowers - large flower made with Cricut Cartridge Mother's Day Bouquet.  Small flowers are from a punch.
Butterflies - Martha Stewart punches
Gems
Ink to highlight the edges
