Thank You Very Much Featuring Elvis

I am loving the Imagine Greeting Cards Inside and Out cartridge.  This card is for a couple who came over and helped me move a loveseat out of my sunroom.  As many of you know I am packing up to move closer to Donna.  What a chore that is so when I make a card I need to do it in a hurry.  That is not my normal style.  I usually stress over them a long time.  This new cartridge is making my card making easier these days.

I printed and cut this card at 5.2"  I cut all the layers but did not use all of them.  Elvis was always glitzy (is that a word) so I added jewels and stickles to his outfit, glasses and mike.  Not sure if you can see it but it's there.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I'm posting a little late today but wanted to show you another card from this cartridge.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

TO MOM FROM MAX, WITH LOVE - Bugaboo Challenge

Hi Everyone!  This is Donna but I'm making this post today for MAX.  To my surprise, I got a phone call today from MAX, Mom's precious little dog.  He asked me if I would help him make a card for Mom.  He said that he appreciated all that she's done for him and wanted to send her something to show his appreciation.  He even wrote a poem - I mean, I knew Max was smart but I had no idea just how smart.

  • I used the Scruffy Puppy digi stamp from Bugaboo and used the Catch The Bug Color Challenge to make this card.  (Don't you think the digi looks like Max?)
  • I covered the cardbase with papers from the Love Nest by My Mind's Eye.
  • I colored the digi with Promarkers.
  • The sketch for the card came from The Sweetest Thing.
  • Poem - written by MAX, typed by me in Word.
Now I know that Mom'll be reading this post but she'll just have to act surprised when she gets in the mail so that Max won't know I told.  He told me to keep it a secret - so mums the word!!

Thank you for stopping by today - we do so appreciate your visits and your comments.  Wishing you a sunshiny Monday - until another day - God Bless You!!  Donna

Birthday Card Using New Imagine Cartridge

Last week after I received my Hello Thursday email, I ordered the new Imagine cartridge and Giant Flowers.  I got them yesterday.  Both my brothers have birthdays in January so I decided to use Greeting Cards Inside and Out, the new Imagine cartridge to make one of their cards.

This is a fantastic cartridge.  It cuts out everything pertaining to the card.  After printing and cutting all the elements, I put them together using foam adhesives.  The following pictures show how easy it is to make a card.
This is the front and back of card
 The inside of the card.
Another view of the inside showing the 3D effect.

Thank you for visiting with us today.  We are so blessed when you visit and comment.  I'm busy packing up all my belongings to move.  What a mess.  Some days it is totally overwhelming.  God's grace is new every morning.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

Cake Box/Bag/Card - Sweet Tooth Boxes, Sweet Treats, Wild Card

Hey Everyone!  Today, a group of my friends and I are going to take my boss, Jean, out to lunch for her birthday.  My friend, Karen and I, went in together and got Jean several different gift cards - one to Starbucks, movie tickets, Sonic (she loves it), and Provino's (Italian Restaurant).  I made a gift set to put all the gift cards in:

For the bag: - I used my Imagine and the Yummy Cartridge to cut and print the cake on the front of the card and the gift tag on the side.  Have to say, LOOOVE my Imagine.

For the card - I used Sweet Treats and the card feature to cut the piece of cake card at 6 1/2"

For the cake box - I used the Sweet Tooth Boxes (LOOOOVEEEE) cartridge to cut the box at 11".  I embossed the layers of the cak with the Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

For the Starbucks Gift Card, I used the Just Because Cards Cartridge to cut out the sentiment "love you a latte!"

We are giving her some movie tickets and I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge to cut our the movie reel.  I simply folded the reel in half to form a gift card holder for the tickets.

I hope Jean will like her gifts - I'm pretty sure she will!  Thank you for stopping by today and for all your comments.  You are appreciated.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

WWE BIRTHDAY BANNER - Country Life

Hi Everyone!!  Well, we've been celebrating Jacob's birthday for the past two weeks.  He had his last party this past Sunday afternoon and had a blast.  Jacob loves WWE Wrestling, so of course, he wanted a WWE themed party.

Well, I tried to find WWE theme party supplies here in town but I couldn't.  I could only find them on the internet.  Well, I didn't really have time for them to come in the mail so I decided to take things into my own hands.

I decided to make a WWE Happy Birthday Banner. I used the Country Life cartridge to cut the letters at 6 1/2" x 10" for the banner. I copied pictures of WWE Superstars into Word and then printed them off. I then cut them out and attached all the letters and pictures to twine. Jacob loved how it turned out.

We then put Jacob's "championship belts" on the chairs in the dining room along with balloons.  All his little buddies were going "COOOOLLLLL!"

Jacob had a Rolling Video Game Party this year!  The truck pulls up in front of your house and has 4 big screens and 4 game consoles for all the kids to play video games on.  The truck is climate controlled so everyone was warm.

Jacob and all his friends have already asked if he can have the same kind of party next year.  We'll see!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hopefully, my life will slow down now so that I can get back to my "Happy Space" on a regular basis!!  Thanks for your visits and comments!!  Until another day, God Bless You!! Donna

To Let You Know What's Going On.........

I know I have been missing in action for a while.  First off I was ill for a while.  As many of you know I put my house on the market last April in an attempt to move closer to Donna.  There were lots of showings but no offers.  So I decided that I would give it until the end of the year.  If my house had not sold by then, I was going to take it off the market until sometime in the future.  Well, as God would have it, I received an offer the afternoon of Dec.31.  It has taken us 3 weeks to reach an agreement on a price but it went under contract this week.

I had an offer on a townhouse near Donna but it didn't work out.  My offer was secondary to another person.  This person had asked for a second extension and the agent thought he might not be able to close as agreed.  However he is, so I must look for something else.  I would really like to make the move to my own place.  We would appreciate it if you would help us pray for this.

An update on Max.  This little guy came into my life at the end of November and has been such a blessing.  You have to understand how I have been.  I was one of those people who said I would never have an animal in my house.  Well, you can bet your life, Max has made me eat those words.  Every night he lays on the loveseat beside me while I work on the computer.  He is so sweet & loving.  All day, he follows me everywhere I go.  If I leave him, he cries.  Donna told our realtor that if she believed in reincarnation, she would think Max was her Dad.  LOL  He had surgery this week, so he has had lots of TLC.  I believe God sent him to me so I would have a companion.  Oh yes, he has figured out how to get on my bed.  Here's a picture.

Thank you all for understanding the interruptions in my life right now.  I will try to get some crafting in as I pack up all my belongings to move to where the Lord leads.  Thank you for your prayers.  Every time we have ever moved, God has provided a place for us to move into.  I trust this move will be no different.  God Bless YOU!!!! Peggy

It STINKS To Feel Bad - Elegant Edges, George, Doodle Pantry

HI Everyone - SURPRISE!!!  We are still alive!!  I made the card below for a friend of my son, Jacob.  Kobi and Jacob have been friends since Kindergarten.  Kobi had eight teeth pulled and other dental work done today.  Yes, I said OUCH too!!  That seemed like a lot for a ten year old to go through so we made him this card.

To make this card, I used the Quirky Skunk (colored) and the Quirky Skunk papers from Doodle Pantry.  Now isn't she just the cutest??

1.  I covered a craft paper card with striped patterned paper.
2.  Cut an orange rectangle to cover the striped paper then adhered dotted patterned paper on top of that.
3.  I adhered the colored digi to a scalloped circle cut with the Elegant Edges cartridge
4.  I then cut two patterned paper circle with the George cartridge.
5.  I cut two more scalloped circles with the Elegant Edges cartridge which I adhered to the patterned paper circles.
6.  I popped all these on the front of the card.
7.  I added bling in the top right hand corner.

On the inside, I cut a strip of stripped paper and punched the border with the Thread Water punch.  I cut an oblong frame with Elegant Edges and adhered it to a green squre of paper.  Sentiments were created with Word.

Thank you all for your patience with Mom and me.  We have missed posting on our blog but have been extremely busy.  Mom got an offer on her house so we've been trying to find her a place to live near me.  YEAAAAA!!!  Thank so much for stopping by - we do appreciate you!!

Until another day, God bless you!  Donna

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Monday - Man Time

Good Morning Everyone,  thank you so much for your prayers and well wishes.  I am so glad to be feeling better.  I feel so rusty with my crafting.  But today is Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Day.  The theme is MAN TIME.
Fantabulous Cricut is thrilled to be sponsored by Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits.

Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits is a monthly scrapbook kit club for those of us who love to paper craft boy subjects. Care and consideration is key as each kit is assembled for the boys. Cool embellies are paired with handsome papers you will love to play with each month.

Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits also has exclusive embellies with each kit....They are all different and very unique, and are included each month just for you.

It's fun to create when you have a complete kit that is designed for the memories of dirt, grunge and smelly things!

January for me is a time to create a new desk calendar.  Because I have been sick, I haven't gotten mine made.  I decided the MAN TIME theme would be a good time to start mine.   January is filled with playoff games for the Super Bowl, so I chose football as my theme.  I used papers & embellishments from one of the Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits.  The calendar is from a kit by Karen Foster Designs.  I used George cartridge to cut the triangle behind the picture of Jacob.

Thank you for stopping by today & every day.  I have missed you guys.  Please check out this week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut. Looking forward to a crafty 2012.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

BE GOOD TO YOURSELF - Elegant Edges, Doodle Pantry, Martha Stewart

Hi Everyone - BE GOOD TO YOURSELF - that's my motto for this year.  I've decided that this is the year that I'm going to not only be good to everyone else, but I'm going to be good to ME also!!!

I used the "Workout Birdie" from Doodle Pantry to make this card for MYSELF!!  TO ME FROM ME, WITH LOVE!!  I'm going to put this card on my desk at work since that's the place that I spend most of my time in the day.  I want it somewhere where it will serve as a daily reminder to BE GOOD TO YOURSELF.

To make this card:
  • I covered the cardbase with green BAZZILL cardstock.
  • I printed the pattern papers from Doodle Pantry
  • I attached rectangles of pattern paper to the front of the card
  • I used the Martha Stewart Garden Gate punch to make the border which I adhered one of the rectangles.
  • Using Cricut Elegant Edges, I cut a 3" scalloped circle.
  • I printed the colored version of the Workout Birdie and trimmed it to a circle.
  • I glued a flower to the front of the card
  • The sentiment was printed from Doodle Pantry and popped on the front of the card.
As I said, this will sit on my desk in a prominent spot so that I'll see it all throughout the day and year.  I hope this card will inspire you to "be good to yourself" also!!

Thanks for letting me and my mom take some time off from posting.  Mom is still recovering and will hopefully be back to posting sometime this week.  Thank you for your comments and your prayers.  We hope you'll come back again - until another day!  God Bless You, Donna

    WE'RE COMING BACK SOON!!!

Hi Everyone!  Mom and I just wanted to say HI and let you know that we will be coming back soon with some new projects.  Mom is VERY, VERY sick right now.  She has been to the doctor and is on antibiotics - she can't even talk which is tragic!!  We think she's gotten sick from being outside in the cold with Max.  But we both believe Max is worth it - I'll just be glad when she gets to feeling better.  Max and she have been resting a lot and taking lots of naps together trying to recover.  I must say - I don't like it when my mama is sick - I worry about her!!!

My reason for not posting is I've been spending time with Jacob while he's been out for Christmas break!  We have so enjoyed our time off from school and work.  But now it's back to the real world.

To entertain you, I thought I would put a couple more pictures of Max taken during Mom's visit at Christmas.  She said I couldn't put her picture on here anymore - she fussed at me (teehee)!!  The first is of Max looking for his Christmas present under the tree and by the way, he did have quite a few under there!!

This next picture is Max's second favorite place to be - at Mamaw's feet.  His most favorite place to be is on Mamaw's lap - he's so precious!!

Please pray for my Mom - she would appreciate it!  We hope to be back up to posting by next week at the latest!!  We so appreciate your visits, comments, and prayers.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

Have A Mice Day - Stamping, George, Doodle Pantry

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!!  We hope that 2012 brings you peace and happiness!

With the New Year, comes new digi stamps from Doodle Pantry.  When I saw this little Quirky Mouse, I just had to smile.  To make the card:

    • I used two postage stamps on the Stamping Cricut Cartridge and welded them together using Cricut Craftoom.
    • Using the George Cartridge, I placed several different size circles on the cardbase to make it look like cheese.
    • I tied orange ribbon on the front of the card and tied blue and orange bows.
    • I printed the colored mouse and sentiment and adhered them to blue cardstock then popped them on the front of the card.
    • I used the negatives from the holes on the inside of the card.
Now isn't he just the cutest??  Please jump over to Doodle Pantry to view all the new digi stamps Laurie has to offer.  You'll be glad you did - there's even a little workout birdie that'll inspire you to either craft or work off some of those holiday pounds.  You'll also find information about free digis you'll receive with any purchase and challenges.

As I said before, Happy New Year!!  May all your wishes and resolutions come true!!  Please come back another day, we appreciate your visits and comments.  Mom and I are working on a schedule of projects for the new year.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna
