Happy Birthday, Gentle Ben
Today would have been my husband's birthday. I know you probably get tired of us mentioning him and how special he was. But I cannot let this day go by without wishing him Happy Birthday.
Donna and Jacob are here with me. Jacob had an idea to celebrate Papaw's birthday. He wants to write messages and attach them to balloons and release them so they can go to Papaw for him to read. So after lunch and birthday cupcakes, we are going to do just that. I bought several balloons. We're going to make tags, write messages to Ben and laminate them before tying them to the balloons. I hope the Lord will let Ben know how much he is missed.
Thank you for letting me share my heart today. I pray each of you will know love like I knew love. Please come back tomorrow for another visit. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Happy Birthday, Ben. He was blessed to have such a wonderful family.
ReplyDeleteNever apologize for talking about the people you love. Talk away lady! Reading your post today made me think of a book I recently read...if you haven't read it please take a look at "Heaven Is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back"
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the story of your love for Ben...I think that Jacob's idea is sweet & a perfect way to celebrate the birthday of someone who was obviously a very special person!
ReplyDeleteHappy heavenly birthday Ben!! I love that idea of the balloons, brings tears to my eyes. I hope you don't feel like you have to apologize for sharing your wonderful hubby with us!! It is so special to remember and talk about people we've lost. That is what keeps them alive for us all. ((HUGS))
ReplyDelete{{{Hugs, Peggy}}} I think it's good to keep his memory of his life here alive and to rejoice that we know in Christ he is still very much alive and that it's only a little while longer until you will be together again. Happy Birthday, Ben :)
