Cut a 5X7.5" strip of paper from double sided paper. Score at 2.5" and fold on the score line.
I chose the Butterfly on page 53 of the Art Nouveau Cricut Cartridge. It was cut at 3". With the Imagine, I chose colors from the Enjoy the Seasons Imagine Cartridge and flood filled the different parts of the butterfly. You can just choose different colors of cardstock and cut on the Expression. Cut 2 of each.
I put the layers together and added Star Dust Stickles to some of the dots on the butterfly.
Attach one of the butterflies to the front flap as shown. Cut a background shape for the second butterfly and attach it. I used one of the shapes on the Imagine and used one of the accent colors in the butterfly to color it.
On the inside, cut 2 1/2"X5" strip of pattern paper and 2 1/4" of the solid and adhere it to the front flap. Adhere the second butterfly directly under the one on the flap so they are lined up together.
I hope you enjoy making one of these cards. Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend. God Bless You!!! Peggy

This is gorgeus. I don't think I've seen a card fold like this. I really like it. Love the way the butterflies line up on both sides. See it pays to read the posts and not just look at the pics. haha My head is swimming with ideas for this style card. Love it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Peggy. Glad u had a good time. Wonder if you could answer this for me, or anyone, what is the Imagine Cricut and can u use the cartridges from the Imagine in the Expressions Cricut? I bought on ebay a cartridge for the Imagine and do not know for sure if I can use it or not? Thanks so much. ekciampo@yahoo.com
