The Crafty Cardmakers have been on little hiatus but we're back today. The theme for our challenge is "Under the Sea or At the Beach". I couldn't think of a more appropriate image than this one. This image is a product of a Kit and Clowder monthly coloring class. It is a Conie Fong image. These classes are so much fun and you learn so much.
This image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I hope you will join us at Crafty Cardmakers for our current challenge.
Thank you for visiting today. I love hearing from you. Any constructive criticism is appreciated.
God Bless You!!!! Peggy

The Crafty Cardmakers Challenge that starts today is all about wings. Please make a project and add something with wings. My entry is from the Kit and Clowder March Pencil Class. Thank You card for DS4J New Release Sunday
Hi everyone, I hope your weekend is awesome. Today would have been my 57th anniversary. My husband passed 7 years ago on March 5, 2010. He went to heaven exactly 1 month after our 50th. He was the love of my life and still is. I think Donna & I are going to the movies to see "A Dog's Purpose." to celebrate. You may think that's not much of a celebration but she always does something with me on our anniversary so I won't have to be alone. I love my children so much.
My card today is for the Digistamps4Joy new release Sunday. There are quite a few cute digis being released today. I hope you will go the shop and look at all of them. Then come join the DS4J Challenge. The theme this month is Anything Goes -with a twist of Red for Valentine's Day.
Card Supplies:

Background Paper - KandCo. Botanicals paper stack
Image - part of Thank Sentiments by MP of DS4J
Colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.

Second Card For DS4J New Releases
The second image we were given to use for a project from the new releases at Digistamps4Joy is named Mermaid. You can get her in black and white to color or pre-colored. This is my card with her.
I colored her with Prismacolor Premium Colored Pencils and I love how she turned out. She's not perfect by everyone's standards but I'm pleased. She is another of JenLee's drawings. The little fish are from a set of stickers I just happen to pick up at Tuesday Morning on one of mine and Donna's excursions.
Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to visit the DS4J Store to see all the new releases.
God Bless You!!! Peggy

Design Team A is responsible for the inspiration for the new 613 Avenue Create Challenge this week. Sponsors are SLS Lines and SMS Digistamps. Kraft Birthday Card
This card features something I have never tried before, coloring on Kraft paper. I think it actually turned out quite nice.
I designed the card in Cricut Design Space. The flowers and the sentiment are actual files from the new Anna Griffin cartridge Elegant Embellishments 2. This cartridge is one of the autoships from HSN. I don't know when it will be released. The flowers were drawn by the Explore plus the Happy Birthday. I then colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. I added Yellow Viva Pearl Pen to the center.
Thank you for visiting with me today. There are other cartridges in Design Space that have images that you can draw with the Explore and color. I hope you will try it.
Challenges for this card:
Artistic Inspirations - 2W, E3 - (Week 1) Anything Goes
Make My Monday - W, C6 - April Showers Bring May Flowers
Robyn`s Fetish - W - #313 Anything Goes!
Scrappy Hands - 2W – #63 Spring! (W2 of 2)

Digistamps4Joy New Release Sunday
Today marks a new release Sunday at DigiStamps4Joy. Margy ask us a while back what kind of digis we would like to see. I have searched for a digi of a maltese dog for a long time. I could find all kinds of dogs but no maltese. So I suggested a maltese digi. Much to my surprise, she created a male and female maltese digi. It's not my time to post in the new releases (I'm on Team B and we alternate with Team A) but when I saw the digis I had to make something. Barney looks just like my Max. This is Max's Valentine he will be sending this year.
I used a background file from the Anna Griffin' Lace Cards and Embellishments cartridge. I changed the layers to print instead of cut. I uploaded the digi into Cricut Design Space and added him to the front of the hearts background. I attached the digi to the background in Design Space, then printed it and cut it. I'm loving Design Space the more I use it. After printing, I colored the little dog with Prismacolor pencils and attached it to a red card. The label is one I made using another DS file. Love how easy this was.
These are 3 of the digis being released at DS4J today. I hope you will join us for this realese.
Thank you for joining us today. Please let us hear from you. What would you like to see? God Bless You!!! Peggy

Digistamps 4 Joy Challenge
There's a fun challenge going on right now at Digistamps 4 Joy. The theme is always "Anything Goes". But the twist this month is add a handmade embellishment. It's been going on since January 1 and will last through the end of the month. I'm on Design Team B and we post our projects on the 15th of each month.
I used another of JenLee's designs for this card. It is called "Hi, Lil Bird." This card is for a dear friend of mine in NC. Her birthday was January 6th so I had to mail it before I could post it.
The background is from Anna Griffin's Flourish Cards and Embellishments Cricut cartridge. I colored the image with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and shaded the background with chalk. My handmade embellishments are the flowers, butterfly and ribbon bow.
Thank you for visiting with me today. I enjoy hearing from you. Be sure to take part in our challenge for this month. There's always prizes. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Christmas Card for FB Group
I know, we just got over Christmas but there is a group on FB called Only Christmas Cards/Projects. They are starting a challenge this week that everyone should post a Christmas project each week. If I post a card each week, then I will have all my Christmas cards ready to go when time comes to mail them. No last minute scurrying around. So this is my first.
It is a CAS design from Anna Griffin's Christmas Cards and Embellishments Cricut cartridge. The design is one that is drawn by the Cricut Explore. I colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. Still getting used to them. This card and envelope is a Make It Now project in Cricut Design Space. It is ready to draw, cut and put together. Of course, you have to color or water color the design but that makes it yours.
This is the inside sentiment I made for it using an ornament image from Design Space.
Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to join in with this Christmas challenge and let's be ready when Dec. 25th rolls around again. It will be here before you know it. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Some Not So Good News
I know I've been missing the past few days but I've been having some health issues. After having an abnormal stress test, I had a heart catherization. It appears I have one artery totally closed, one 70% closed and one on the back of my heart with 2 blockages. I am scheduled to see a surgeon Tuesday to discuss by-pass surgery. I would appreciate your prayers.
I did manage to finish this card for a friend's granddaughter's birthday.
This is a card base from Cricut Design Space and an image from Sassy Studio Designs. I used Anna Griffin flourishes, flowers and embossing folders. I hope she likes it.
Here is a close up of the image.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm not sure if I'll get anything done tomorrow but we'll see. Thanks for your comments and prayers. God Bless You!!!! Peggy

Aurora Wings "Leann's Angel"
Before I start my post today, I just want to say how delighted I am to have Donna posting again. When we started the blog we said we were a Mother/Daughter team. So I'm super happy when she posts.
I tried my hand at coloring with colored pencils again today. I have watched so many people on Facebook who are so talented and creative with their coloring. It puts my efforts to shame but I enjoy it so I'll keep trying and maybe I will improve.
I bought this lovely digistamp from Aurora Wings. Mitzi has some beautiful stamps, if you want to drop by and take a look around.
The frame is from Cricut Design Space cut from a silver and white embossed paper. The roses and ribbon are from my stash. The image is called Leann's Angel and she's colored with Prismacolor Colored pencils.
Thank you for visiting with us today. We love and appreciate all of you. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Pencil Colored Image
I have been watching videos trying to learn some new creativity. One I watched was of Rick St. Dennis coloring an image with colored pencils. He made it look so easy.
So I decide I want to try it. I went to our new Hobby Lobby (I won a gift card when they had their grand opening) to see what they had in the way of colored pencils. Needless to say, they had a variety. Since I had a 40% off coupon and my gift card, I chose some Prismacolor pencils. I'm sure they're not the premium kind everyone uses but they were good enough for me to play with.
I spent the afternoon coloring this Rick St. Dennis image, "Miss Midnight's Flirty Feathers". It's not my best work but I think it's pretty good for my first try.
