Crafty Cardmakers Challenge-Spring Into Spring

We start a new challenge today at Crafty Cardmakers.  The theme is Spring into Spring.  It is my pleasure to host this challenge.  Spring is my favorite time of year.  It's the time of year flowers and all of nature take on new life and fill the world with beauty.  It's also the time we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I hope you will join our challenge and show us your beautiful Spring projects.

My card is a simple card made with Craft Artist 2 Professional software.  I learned about this software from one of FB friends, Carla Brooke.  I pop-dotted some of the flowers and banner with foam adhesives for dimension.

I appreciate your visit today.  I'll be looking for your entries in our Spring into Spring Challenge.

God Bless You !!  Peggy

Dreaming Tree Paper Sculptures

I can't wait to show you what I've been working on this week. When I first saw these on FB, I knew this was an svg bundle I would buy and make.  This is a Paper Sculpture Bundle by Dreaming Tree.  This is one of the prettiest items I've seen made by them.
You can buy the whole set (bundle) for $6.99.  I thoroughly enjoyed working on these.  You can upload the svg files to your Cricut Explore(or whatever cutting machine you have that uses svgs) and cut them out.  Leo of Dreaming Tree has videos of how to assemble them.

Here they are hanging on my dining area wall.

Thank you for dropping by today.  I hope you have a great weekend.  Don't forget to worship at the church of your choice.

God Bless You!!! Peggy

Playing Around With Print Then Cut

I've been testing the Print Then Cut feature in Cricut Design Space. If you don't like cutting all the layers of an image, you can flatten it, print it on your printer and cut it on your Explore machine.  I LOVE this feature.  For these cards I was thinking Spring.  I searched in Design Space for flower and found a generous amount of flowers I could use for printing then cutting.  They cut like a dream.

I took the images, added some backgrounds & labels and put them on some Hot Buy cards from Michaels.  I think these cards would be good for our next Craft Day at the Nursing Home where I volunteer.  Tell me your opinion.

Thank you for visiting with me today.  May you have a blessed Monday.

God Bless You!!!! Peggy

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - For A Special Woman/Girl-Mother's Day

A new challenge starts today at Crafty Cardmakers.   Our theme is "For A Special Woman/Girl or Mother's Day".  My mom is not living so I rarely make a Mother's Day card.  I chose instead to make a Thank You card for my daughter, Donna.  Donna is a daughter like every mother should have.  She calls me almost every day and when I need her she's always right here.  Thank you, Donna, for being you.  I love you.

Card Supplies:
5X7 card base
Gold overlay was made using the new Anna Griffin Edge Dies. This was the only thing I bought during the HSN Craft Day on March 8.
Flower embellishment of your choosing.
AG sentiment
Ribbon - I found these hand tied bows at a fabric/pottery store in Galax while visiting my son & daughter-in-law last week.  I'll tell you about that visit later.

Thank you for visiting with me today.  I hope you will travel over to the Creative Cardmakers' Challenge and show us your beautiful creations.

God Bless You!!! Peggy
