Bountiful Season - Graciellie Design

The temperatures in NW Georgia are finally beginning to cool some.  It has felt like Fall for the past few days.  The nights are crisp and the days warm.  It makes me start thinking of Thanksgiving and Fall festivals.

In that frame of mind, I set about creating this card from a Graciellie Design image called Bountiful Season.  This image belongs to a digital stamp bundle calleld Thankful Words.  It is on sale in Gracie's Etsy Store for 15% off.  The bundle contains 4 lovely stamp sets.  See below.
Card Supplies:
4.25 X 5.5" card base
Image/Sentiment - Bountiful Season
Orange Foil
Border Embossing Folder from Anna Griffin Summer/Fall Folders
Copics
Cardstock from my stash
Ribbon
Yellow Seed Beads

The first thing I did was foil the image and sentiment with the orange foil.  That didn't present with enough color so I colored the image with Copics.  Coloring over the foil with Copics did not alter the foil.  After embossing the edge of the purple cardstock, I assembled the card as you see it. The last step was to apply the seed beads to the glue I had applied in the center of the flower.

This picture shows the foiling better.

This is the "Thankful Words" Digital Stamp Bundle.
Thank you for visiting with me today.  I always read every comment.  Please come back soon.

God Bless You!!! Peggy

Today on Crafty Cardmakers our theme is "Fancy Folds".  The design team has worked hard to create some lovely cards for your inspiration.  My card is a Flip card.  I used an Anna Griffin card set for this card.  The card set includes dies and embellishments to help with your design.

The center of the card flips to reveal your sentiment.

    Unity Stamp/Graciellie Design New Release

Today is an exciting day.  Unity Stamps and Graciellie Design have teamed together to bring you some new rubber stamps. Here is a link the new releases.  There are some beautiful images and they're all on sale.  I had the privilege to work with a couple of them.  This is my first creation.  Tune back in on the 16th for another cute design.

This lovely image is called "Amazing Things", colored with Copics.  The background paper is from a 6X6" paper pack by DCWV called In Stitches.  I crisscrossed some yarn around it before adding the image.  I think this would make a  lovely encouragement card.  Here is a closeup of the image.
And here is a pic of the actual stamp package.  The stamp is made of high quality rubber and stamps clearly.

Did I mention that this is a blog hop.  Oh yeah.  There will be prizes announced on October 16th.  You will want to leave a comment on every design team members blog to increase your chances of winning.  What is the prize, you say.  There will be 3 prize packages from Unity Stamps that include 3 stamp sets.  How generous is that?  So be sure to leave a comment here on my blog, then go on to Regina's blog to see her beautiful creations.  She's been a busy girl.

Thank you so much for joining us in this blog hop today.  Looking forward to reading your comments.

    God Bless You!!!  Peggy

    Happy Birthday To My Son

Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of my son.  When he was born I knew nothing about taking care of a baby, much less raising him to be an incredible man.  However, with the help of the Lord, through all my mistakes, he has become a good Christian man.  He's hardworking (too hard working, if you ask me), a faithful companion to my lovely daughter-in-law, and a good father to his two sons.  I'm afraid I don't get to see them as much as I would like but we live 5 hours apart.  Can you tell?  I am very proud of him.

This is the card I made him.  It is a simple card made with an Anna Griffin card topper, but it was made with love.  I love you, Brian, and am so glad the Lord gave you to me and your Dad.

THE HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO YOU!!!!

Thank you for your visit today.  I hope your day is filled with Peace, Joy and Love.

    God Bless You!! Peggy

    Crafty Cardmakers - Autumn

Last week we were struggling through Hurricane Irrma, although it wasn't bad here.  My heart goes out to those affected by this terrible storm. The temperatures certainly cooled a lot and it felt like Fall.  I'm not sure if I'm ready for weather that cool just yet.

This week at Crafty Cardmakers our theme is Autumn.  So I pulled out some fall colored cardstock and came up with this card.

    Card Supplies:
Harvest Blessings - this is a Cricut Design Space file.  I cut it from 2 different rust colored pieces of cardstock.
Anna Griffin Summer/Fall embossing folders - The 6" square card base was embossed with one of the folders and the matching border folder.
Stickles - gold was applied to the "Blessings"

I like how this turned out.  The hardest part was getting the two layers away from the cardstock without tearing them up.

Thank you for visiting with me today.  Thank you for your lovely comments.

    God Bless You!!! Peggy

Graciellie Design Blog Hop- The Vine

Are you ready for another blog hop featuring the fabulous Graciellie Design DT?  Gracie has released some new images and we got to play with them.  You are in for a treat.  I chose "The Vine" for my card.  There are two images and five lovely sentiments with this stamp.

Close up of the image.  I added Stickles glitter to highlight it.

Anna Griffin die used for the background

This is the second image from the set.  I colored it with Copics and cut it out with this sentiment die.
This is the inside of my card. The sentiment die created a ridge around the cutout so I outlined it with a marker.

I enjoyed working with this new release.  There are more on the other design team members blogs.  Be sure and visit them.  The next person on the blog hop is:

      Crafty Card Makers - Monochromatic

Welcome to Crafty Cardmakers Challenge.  The theme for this week is "Monochromatic".  I know a lot of us automatically think of black and white or various shades of brown when we think monochromatic.  I thought of going against my natural inclinations with pink.  This is my card and I like how it turned out.  I admit I struggled with it a bit..........

At first I laid out the flowers on the the pink background with no embossing. No matter how I laid them out, it just didn't look right. Then I found this Sizzix embossing folder I had never used.  It seems to lead your eyes to the flowers.  I then added a bow and gems to complete the card along with a Happy Birthday greeting. The flowers were made using Anna Griffin 3D Flower Dies.

Thank you for joining me today.  I hope you have a marvelous Labor Day.  Be sure to have time with your family.

      God Bless You!!!! Peggy

      DS4J New Releases - September 3

Time for another new release at Digistamps4joy.  There are several new mandalas, deer and kidsart.  They are all fun images.  I chose Mandala #1 for my card.  I started out coloring it in, then decided to be a little radical and do something totally different.

I've had a Minc machine for a year or more and never played with it much. Lately, I've been giving it a go.  I decided to print my Mandala image with my laser printer.  Then I ran it through the Minc with gold foil paper.  I decided the negative image left on the gold foil would be pretty on some toner paper so I ran it back through the Minc machine.  Here is the result.
I placed the Mandala images on some gold and black paper, added some sequins and added a sentiment.  What do you think?  I also added a sentiment to the inside with a foiled rose.
I hope you will go to the DS4J Blog Post and check out all the new releases and see all the projects by the other members of the Design Team.

      God Bless You!!!! Peggy

The image I chose is Strong and Courageous from the Bold Florals Bundle.  It is a layered rose image. I printed and colored 2 of them with Copics.  I then added glitter accents to the leaves.  The background paper is from a 6X6 Best of Anna Griffin Paper Pad.  I placed my hand colored images over the flowers in the paper.  The sentiment is from the same image set.

      Close up of the flowers

The center of the card.  Also, one of the sentiments with Strong and Courageous.  I printed it on a laser printer, then ran it through my Minc machine and foiled it.
