My First Christmas Card 2017

I would like to share with you today my first Christmas card of 2017.  I have some left from last year so I shouldn't  have to make too many this year.  How about you?  Have you started your Christmas cards yet.  I would love to see some of them.  Show them in the comments.  This is my first.

Card Supplies:
5.5"X5.5" card base made from KandCo. Christmas pad.  I have several so I can't give you the exact name.
Red Shimmer paper embossed with AG Holiday Seasonal Folder
Ornament - AG Christmas Die
Merry Christmas - from Cuttlebug Seasonal Wishes Dies & Border Folders.  I used foiled paper for the ornament & sentiment.
Gold Ribbon for the handmade bow.

DS4J Mid-month October Challenge

It's mid-month posting for the DS4J October Challenge.  Our theme this month is "Make Your Own Background".  Now you might be thinking, "I'm not good at making backgrounds".  Making a background doesn't have to be hard.  You can use a doily, a die cut or an embossing folder(which is what I did) or any number of things.  Team B has created a lot of pretty inspiration for this phase of the challenge and I hope you will join us.  Be sure to visit here for more inspiration and information.

Beautiful Poinsettias

My card today is another Christmas card.  I love to make Christmas cards.  I'm sure I have enough made for this year and then some. But when I come across beautiful embossing folders and files in a cartridge that compliments the folder, I have to make a card.

I want to start a process of consciously thanking God for something each day.  Today, it's life. Life is so precious and we take it for granted. I know I have lived more days than I have left and I truly thank Him for these days.  Today, a dear friend of mine lost a granddaughter at the young age of 18.  She and her twin sister were in an accident.  Please pray for this family and be thankful for your life God has given you.
