Thank You to My Builder

The builder who built my townhouse was such a pleasure to work with.  When he started, he told me he would do his best to have it ready by the end of May.  I actually closed on June 1.  I want to express my appreciation so I made this card.

Card Recipe:
5X7 card base
Cricut Cartridge "Just Because Cards" for the house on the front of the card.
Thank you is from the Close To My Heart Stamp Set "4 My Friend"
The labels inside are cut from Just Because Cards
The tools are from the Cricut Lite Cartridge "Handy Man"

Thank you for stopping by today.  Remember we're giving away the Thanksgiving cartridge in celebration of our 2nd Blogaversary.  Click here to leave a message on that post.  We love to read your comments.  God Bless You !!! Peggy

Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Easter Basket

Donna & I were talking about Easter this afternoon and she asked me if I had Max a present for Easter.  All I could say was "No".  I guess I'm a bad pet parent.  However, I got busy and made him an Easter basket.  I still have  time to shop for doggie treats.  This is his basket.

I used Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Cricut Cartridge to cut the basket.  I cut it at 7".  It takes a 24" mat to get it all on.  It takes most of the mat but it's a pretty basket once it's folded together.  The puppy is cut from Just because cards.

This side of it has an image cut from Enjoy The Seasons Imagine Cartridge.

This image is also from Enjoy The Seasons.

This image was cut from Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge.

I hope Max will like his basket.  He will especially like the treats I'm sure.  Thank you for stopping by today.  I'm looking forward to the Easter service at church.  God's love is so amazing.  May He bless you in all you endeavor to do today.  Peggy

Cake Box/Bag/Card - Sweet Tooth Boxes, Sweet Treats, Wild Card

Hey Everyone!  Today, a group of my friends and I are going to take my boss, Jean, out to lunch for her birthday.  My friend, Karen and I, went in together and got Jean several different gift cards - one to Starbucks, movie tickets, Sonic (she loves it), and Provino's (Italian Restaurant).  I made a gift set to put all the gift cards in:

For the bag: - I used my Imagine and the Yummy Cartridge to cut and print the cake on the front of the card and the gift tag on the side.  Have to say, LOOOVE my Imagine.

For the card - I used Sweet Treats and the card feature to cut the piece of cake card at 6 1/2"

For the cake box - I used the Sweet Tooth Boxes (LOOOOVEEEE) cartridge to cut the box at 11".  I embossed the layers of the cak with the Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

For the Starbucks Gift Card, I used the Just Because Cards Cartridge to cut out the sentiment "love you a latte!"

We are giving her some movie tickets and I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge to cut our the movie reel.  I simply folded the reel in half to form a gift card holder for the tickets.

I hope Jean will like her gifts - I'm pretty sure she will!  Thank you for stopping by today and for all your comments.  You are appreciated.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

Sweet Dreams Baby Book - LOTS OF CRICUT

You know there's nothing like a newborn baby to make you smile!  Jacob's teacher, Ms. Pennington, is expecting her first grandchild this week so I decided I would make her a brag book for some of her photos.  I don't know about you but I've never met a grandmother yet that didn't have plenty of pictures of their grandchildren to show you.

For this project, I used LOTS of Cricut Cartridges.  I found a Rusty Pickle Chipboard Album that I bought at one of the CKC conventions that Mom and I attended.  I used the Basic Grey Oh Boy Collection to cover the chipboard with 6 x 6 1/2 pieces.

Book Recipe

COVER:Frame - I used Design Studio to make the frame using the George Cartridge.  I welded two squares together then welded stars inside the frame.
Used Create A Critter to cut:
Sheep - 2 1/2"
Sweet Dreams - 1 1/2"
Clouds - 1 1/2", 3/4"
Stars - 1 1/4"
Moon - 1 1/4"

Popped the sheep and one of the clouds to add dimension.

PAGES 2 AND 3

Baby Blessings - cut at 1.5 x 3.8" with Wild Card and Design Studio
Heart Border - Martha Stewart Heart Lace Punch
Train - 1 3/4" - Create a Critter

PAGES 4 AND 5

Rocket - 6" (page), 4" (tag) - Just Because Cards Cartridge
Wagon - 4 1/2" - Just Because Cards Cartridge

PAGES 6 AND 7

Bear - 2 1/2" - Doodlecharms
Bottle Borders - 1" and 2" - Doodlecharms

PAGES 8 and 9

Giraffe - 4" - Create A Critter
Lion - 2" - Create A Critter

PAGES 10 AND 11

Heaven Sent - 1 1/4" - Stamping
Rattle - 1 1/4" Stamping

I made pockets out of the mats where the pictures will be placed on several of the pages and inserted tags so that Ms. Pennington will have a place to make journal entries.

GIFT BAG

Sheep - 6" - Create A Critter

I really enjoyed making this book and I hope Jacob's teacher will like it.

Thanks for stopping by today and we hope that you've found some inspiration.  If you see something you like, please let us know.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

Happy Birthday, Brother!

My brother has a birthday this week.  Everyone needs a brother like him.  When it snowed, he called me, my sister and all my aunts and uncles to see if any of us needed anything.  He is a very thoughtful person.  This is the card I made for him.

Card Recipe:

5X6.5" card
DCWV Denim Paper Stack
Doodle Pantry Card Topper Digital Image
I-Rock Metal Accents
Metal Brads for pocket
Happy Birthday from Create-A-Critter Cartridge
Inside of card:
Frame from Stamping cartridge cut at 4.75X6.25".  I framed my message with it.
Boot from Just Because Cards-inside decoration

Thanks for visiting us today.  We would appreciate you saying a prayer for Jacob, Donna's son and my grandson.  Donna had to take him to the doctor today.  They gave him 2 breathing treatments in the Dr. office.  The doctor prescribed an antibiotic, prednisone, and breathing treatments at home.  Poor child will be bouncing off the wall.  Thanks for your prayers.  God Bless You!! Peggy

Party Invitations

I have a wonderful friend named Sherry who has a niece that just had a birthday, graduated from college, and is getting married in October. Sherry is giving Taylor an all-in-one party this month and I volunteered to do the invitations for her. My mom helped me make these during my last visit to her house. And by the way, Jacob did say that I was "hogging his Mamaw" while we were working on them!! I wrote the poem and Mom cut out all the squares using George & Basic Shapes, which we rounded, and then she cut out the cowboy boot from Just Because Cards while I started assembling the pieces. We made quite a team while working on these!! Thanks Mom so much for all your help - could not have done it without you!!

Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you again!! Until another day, God Bless!! Donna

4th Grade Classroom Door

Hey Everyone - I hope you all are having a wonderful Labor Day. I spent the weekend with my mom celebrating her birthday which is TODAY!!! So everyone wish Mom a Happy Birthday!!! Happy Birthday, Mom - I love you bunches!!!! I told her that everyone in the U.S. was getting the day off just to celebrate her birthday - HA!!!

Now on to our project for the day - Jacob's teacher asked for volunteers to decorate her door to the classroom each month this year. Well, you know I had to volunteer as that's right up my alley! She said she wanted a rocket/space theme to go along with what they are teaching in class right now. The picture below is what I came up with.

I used the following cartridges to create the images:

Just Because Cards - Rocket - cut at 24"
Zooballoo - cut out clouds and inked them to make them look like smoke balls coming out of
the rocket.
Plantin - Stars
Plantin - Scalloped Border with Stars - I used Design Studio to place a star inside the scallop
border and cut at 22"
Mickey Font - Words - cut at 3 3/4"

You'll be seeing a new door design each month this year. Next month's theme is going to be a football/teamwork theme. I've already got an idea for what I'll do for that - gotta stay ahead of the ballgame you know. Well, thank you for stopping by and we hope you'll come again soon!! Until another day, God Bless!! A Little Birdie Told Me

Hi Everyone! Well, guess what, I found another cartridge that I've had for a while and haven't used. The funny thing is - this cartridge is specifically for making cards. Now tell me, why would I have not used this cartridge yet? Makes me wonder about myself!!

I used the Just Because Cards cartridge to cut the card base out of pink paper at 5 1/2". I then used patterned paper to cut out the layer at 5 1/2". I cut out a square of patterned paper that had birds on it and applied it to the top of the layer. I cut out two birds from a scrap and pop dotted them over two birds on the patterned paper.  Sorry for the poor quality photo.  My sentiment doesn't show up.  It says "A Little Bird Told Me."

The sentiment came from The Stamps For Life club of which I am a member. I receive a set of stamps each month for $11.95 plus $1.00 shipping. I like each set I've received so far. Check out their website - you'll be glad you did!!

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you'll come again!! Until another day, God Bless.  Donna!
