Wishing You a Sunshiny Day! - Meljensdesigns, Sweet Tooth Boxes

Hi Everyone - let me first say that I am extremely honored to be the April Guest Designer for www.meljendesigns.com.  I have been a fan of Melissa's digis for a long time so when they asked me to be their guest, I jumped at the chance.

For my first project with Meljen's, I used the Sunflower Friends digi on my project.  I just love that little sunflower and bumble bee.  I have a friend celebrating a birthday this week so I decided I would make her a card set. 

Supplies used:
Promarkers to color digi
DCWV Citrus Patterned Paper and Cardstock
Bee Wings - Diamond Stickles

I covered an A2 size card with Citrus Cardstock and then cut different shapes of pattern paper.  I then adhered the digi to the cards and then popped the center of each flower.  The box was cut at 10" using the Cricut Expression and the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge.  

All in all, I think this makes the cutest card set.  I hope my friend likes it as much as I do.  Until another day, God bless you!!  Donna Wilson

SWEETS SHOP - SWEET TOOTH BOXES CARTRIDGE

Hi Everyone -

Well, I made something last night that I think was the ugliest thing I've ever made.  I showed it to Mom and she said, "Well, it's not "THAT" bad!"  So that confirmed it, it was ugly.  So what did I do with it - as I told Mom on the phone - I came home from work today, crushed it into a ball, threw it on the floor, stepped on it, and then picked it up and put it in the trash.  I'm ashamed to say that I made something that ugly. 

So needless to say, I had to redeem myself and decided to make something that I've wanted to make for a long time.  Just never took the time!  And if I had known it really didn't take a long time to make, I would have made it sooner. 

Using the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cartridges, I made the Sweets Shop below.  It was just a matter of pushing the buttons, cutting out the layers, and putting the pieces together.    I cut all layers at 10".  Here's a picture of all the pieces laying on my desk waiting to be assembled.  (Now don't be looking at all the other mess.)

This is the finished product from several different angles. 

This was a really fun project to make.  I would highly recommend this cartridge.

CUPCAKE HOLDER FOR FUZZY SOCKS - SWEET TOOTH BOXES, DOODLE PANTRY

Hi Everyone!!  With the first day of the month, comes new releases from Laurie at Doodle Pantry Digistamps.  I must say that the releases for the month of February are fabulous!!  I had a hard time choosing which new digi I wanted to create something with but I finally decided on the digi, Cupcake Ants. 


I wanted to make something for Jacob's teachers for Valentine's Day that would hold some fuzzy socks.  I decided to make a cupcake box using the Cricut cartridge Sweet Tooth Boxes. 

I cut the box out of bright blue cardstock at 10.5". 

I printed off cupcake digi papers from Doodle Pantry.  I cut the lid for the box using this paper.  I used the scraps of the cupcake paper and a Martha Stewart Border Punch to decorate the bottom of the box. 

I printed out the colored digi "Cupcake Ants" and popped it on top of the lid. 

I then took a pair of "fuzzy socks" and rolled them up to form a cupcake.  I then put a pompom on top for the cherry.  Easy Peezy!!

Cake Box/Bag/Card - Sweet Tooth Boxes, Sweet Treats, Wild Card

Hey Everyone!  Today, a group of my friends and I are going to take my boss, Jean, out to lunch for her birthday.  My friend, Karen and I, went in together and got Jean several different gift cards - one to Starbucks, movie tickets, Sonic (she loves it), and Provino's (Italian Restaurant).  I made a gift set to put all the gift cards in:

For the bag: - I used my Imagine and the Yummy Cartridge to cut and print the cake on the front of the card and the gift tag on the side.  Have to say, LOOOVE my Imagine.

For the card - I used Sweet Treats and the card feature to cut the piece of cake card at 6 1/2"

For the cake box - I used the Sweet Tooth Boxes (LOOOOVEEEE) cartridge to cut the box at 11".  I embossed the layers of the cak with the Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

For the Starbucks Gift Card, I used the Just Because Cards Cartridge to cut out the sentiment "love you a latte!"

We are giving her some movie tickets and I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge to cut our the movie reel.  I simply folded the reel in half to form a gift card holder for the tickets.

DOODLE PANTRY BLOG HOP - CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS - SWEET TOOTH BOXES, JOTS, CUTTLEBUG, DOODLE PANTRY

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to the Doodle Pantry 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!  Laurie at Doodle Pantry has created some amazing digital stamps.  She asked the Design Team to make projects with the digis that we wanted to use.  I decided to make some Christmas ornaments as my project. 

I first printed off the digis in color.  I then used the JOTS and Cricut Craftroom to weld an ornament together.  I left a circle in the front so the digi would show through.  I ran the ornment base through the Cuttlebug using the swirl embossing folder, then placed the digi inside and glued the ornament together.

I then used the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge to cut out a four ornament box at 11" out of gold and green shimmer paper.  I then used the JOTS cart to cut the 3D poinsettia for the top and inside of the box.  I added bling to the inside of each poinsettia (you can never have too much bling).
