DOODLE PANTRY BLOG HOP - CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS - SWEET TOOTH BOXES, JOTS, CUTTLEBUG, DOODLE PANTRY

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to the Doodle Pantry 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!  Laurie at Doodle Pantry has created some amazing digital stamps.  She asked the Design Team to make projects with the digis that we wanted to use.  I decided to make some Christmas ornaments as my project.

I first printed off the digis in color.  I then used the JOTS and Cricut Craftroom to weld an ornament together.  I left a circle in the front so the digi would show through.  I ran the ornment base through the Cuttlebug using the swirl embossing folder, then placed the digi inside and glued the ornament together.

I then used the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge to cut out a four ornament box at 11" out of gold and green shimmer paper.  I then used the JOTS cart to cut the 3D poinsettia for the top and inside of the box.  I added bling to the inside of each poinsettia (you can never have too much bling).

All in all - I really loved how this project turned out.  Please follow the blog to the next Design Team Member to see what she has made for your enjoyment.  Laurie is giving away numerous prizes - all you need to do to win is:

■ You must enter your url and name/email in the special LINKY in the blog hop post, this will put you in the drawing for prizes.
■If there are 59 or less entrants in the linky, Laurie will use random.org to choose 5 winners from all the Blog Hop entrants in the LINKY. If there are 60 or more entrants, she will choose 8 winners.
■Winners receive each a $10 coupon code for the shop.
■We would ask that you please comment on everyone's blog, but it is not mandatory in order to be randomly chosen as a winner.

SNOW DUMPLING - A CHILD'S YEAR, CUTTLEBUG, DIGITAL DELIGHTS

Hi Everyone!  Wendy at Digital Delights by Louby Loo has new releases coming out today and I chose little "Snow Dumpling" to make a card with.  I must say that when I saw the digi that I just went, AWWWWW!!  He's the cutest!!

To make this card, I used Cricut Craftroom and card feature on A Child's Year to cut the card base out of blue metallic paper.  The card originally had three snowflakes on the bottom but I only needed one snowflake.  I used the Hide Contour in CCR to hide two of the snowflakes.  I then cut the card at 12" x 6" and folded in half.

I used the snowflake cuttlebug to emboss a white square of cardstock.  I used blue chalk on the embossed paper.  I colored "snow dumpling" with Promarkers.  I cut two strips of White Glitter Paper - one for the front of the card and one for the inside of the card.  I used Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch Around the Page punches to make snowflake borders with the glitter paper.  I punched the corners on top of the digi square and adhered blue bling.  I tied a bow using white wired ribbon.

I then cut two snowflakes from A Child's Year and secured them to the front of the card with a snowflake brad.

This card will be entered in the following challenges:

Thank You Just Isn't Enough

Have you ever needed to tell someone thank you for doing something for you or a random act of kindness?  There are a lot of people in my life right now that I need to say that to.  Two of them are my brother & sister-in-law.  The other is my neighbor that lives in front of me.

I made these two cards today to try and convey how I feel.  My brother & his wife have been a source of comfort for me during the past few months.  I can always count on them to be there if and when I need them.

This is a 5 X 7 card.  The pink background has been embossed with another of the Cindy Loo Cuttlebug folders.  The basket of flowers is a digistamp from Doodle Pantry.  They really have some cute digi-stamps.  The frame is cut from Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge (page 48).  I stamped a thank you on the bottom of the card.

The second card is for my neighbor.  I was outside one day this week trimming my bushes with a hedge trimmer.  Somehow (only I would do something like this) I managed to cut my knee with the hedge trimmer.  I had a huge mess in the front yard and didn't know how I could get it cleaned up.  My neighbor came over and cleaned it all up so I wouldn't have to.

I used the same digistamp but colored it differently.  I tied a ribbon through the pot and attached it with pop dots.  The background paper is from K&Co "Terri Conrad Sweet Life" paper stack.  The saying on the label is part of the digistamp.

Before I complete this, I must say a big Thank You to my children.  They have been my lifeline these past few months.  I love you Brian & Donna.

I hope you find something of interest on our blog.  Thanks for your visit.  God bless each one.  Peggy
