We are approaching Easter, my favorite time of the year. This is when we focus on all that Jesus did for us on the cross and His glorious resurrection. Without these two things we wouldn't have faith. I'm so glad He loved us that much, aren't you?
A friend was over the other night and she was looking at some of the cards I still have here. She found two Easter cards she wants me to make her. I made them a while back and I've posted them on the blog but since we have some new followers I thought I would go ahead and post them.
This one features a digital image from Heartsong Images. Click here to go to the original post for directions and supplies used.
This one features a digital image by Daisy Doodles and you can go to the original post by clicking on here.
I have more Easter cards but I won't bore you with posting all of them. I hope to have some new ones for you during this pre-Easter time.
Thank you for stopping by today. It's always a joy to have you visit and read your comments. God Bless You!!!!! Peggy

Heart Song Challenge - Mini-Tutorial
At Heart Song Challenges today we were asked to include a mini-tutorial with our challenge card. I chose Leah's "Jaspar" to make my card. Rather than color him I printed him on pattern paper. I did color his little heart nose.
Card Recipe:
A2 Card Base
Background Paper - KandCo. - Classic K. Bailey Paper Stack
Digital Image - Jaspar from Heart Song Designs Store
Martha Stewart - Lattice Punch Around The Page Punches
Fanfold Paper Flower - Cut 12" strip from cardstock or pattern paper. Determine how wide you want your flower to be and cut the strip of paper half that width, i.e., if you want your flower to be 3" cut strip 1 1/2 in. wide. Use scoreboard to score 12" strip every 1/4". Fanfold strip, Glue the ends together. Gather up like a teepee, then push down to form flower. Adhere to a 1 1/4 circle of paper. Be sure to push center together as much as you can. Decorate with an embellishment on top.
I know most of you already know how to make this flower so thanks for allowing me to go on about it. Thank you for stopping by today. We love your visits and comments. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Heart Song Challenge - Lace on Kraft Paper
Hi, dear friends. I hope your weekend was superb. We had a great service at church this morning. Heard a great message that has caused me to do some thinking. Have you ever had one of those Sundays when you leave church and you can't remember what the preacher said? Today was not one of those days.
The challenge we're working with at Heart Song Inspirations this week is: "Lace And/OR color on Kraft Colored Paper. I chose "Rosa and Bird" for my card. I thought Leah did an exceptional job on her. After I colored her, I put lace around her. I did not have colored Kraft paper so I used the original. After I added Rosa to the Kraft paper, I couldn't think of a thing that would enhance the card, so this one is clean and simple.
Card Recipe:
A2 Card Base
Background paper - Embossed Kraft Paper
Digital Image - Rosa and Bird from Heart Song Store.
Promarkers used to color image:
Flower - Light Peach, Peach, Leaf Green, Forest Green
Headband - Soft Peach, Cool Aqua, Almond
Hair - Tan, Cinnamon, Apricot
Skin - Satin, Dusky Pink, Coral
Dress - Soft Peach, Peach, Almond, Cool Aqua
Bird - Lime Green, Turquoise, Cool Aqua
Wings - Tea Green, Blender to lighten the color
Leah also released a new image today which is really nice. You can find it in the store also. Here is a watermarked image of it. I can't wait to play with this one.
Challenges I will enter my card in:
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Sparkles Forum Challenges - Elegance and Lace
By The Cute and Girly - Things With Wings
The Craft Garden - Use a bird
Thank you all for visiting us. Please let us hear from you. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Tiny Miracle - Heart Song Designs
Leah Cornelius of Heart Song Inspirations just released this image, actually it's two images I merged. It's called Baby Bundle I think she may be thinking a lot about a baby. She and her husband left Sunday for Ethiopia to meet their little boy they're going to adopt. I understand it is a long process to adopt. They won't get to bring him back with them yet. More red tape.
Anyway I made this card thinking about her. I hope I'll get to send it to her soon. I put the airplanes on it to represent not only that little boys like planes but to represent the distance they have to go to get him. God Bless You, Leah and your little family.
Card Recipe:
A2 Card Base
Background Paper - Digital Gingham Paper and Basic Cardstock
Wall Decor Cricut Cartridge for the Airplanes cut at 1"
Heart Song Designs Digital Image - Baby Bundle
Promarkers used:
Giraffe - Almond, Powder Blue, Lipstick Red
Moon - Buttercup, Yellow Stickles
These are the digistamps.
Thank you for the visits and comments. Please pray for Leah and her husband. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Heart Song Inspirations Bird and Roses
Donna told you yesterday about her Dad's roses so I thought I would just show some of them to you. They are really showing off this year. Aren't they pretty?
I'm trying to get back in the groove after my break and going to Donna's house. We had fun.
This card is for Heart Song Inspirations Design Team. Leah named this image "Bird and Roses." The roses reminded me of Ben's Knockout Roses. I tried to color the bird to resemble a Yellow Finch. I think they are so pretty and I love it when I see one on my bird feeder.
Card Materials:
A2 Card Base
Background Paper - Digital Paper from Create With TLC.
Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge for yellow label
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders - Floral Screen and Leafy Branch
Ruffled Ribbon - Hobby Lobby
Bling Flowers
Promarkers Used:
Bird - Canary, Sunflower. Gold, Cool Grey 1 and Cool Grey 5
Flowers - Magenta, Cerise (Sunflower and Ginger for the centers)
Leaves/Branches - Forest Green, Pine
One more thing. Donna and I are participating in a blog hop Friday, April 22 in honor of Gaby's birthday and Earth Day. Gaby is the talented designer at Gaby Creates. You have to go there and see some of great creations.
Thank you for being our blogging friends. We love your visits and comments. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Vintage Blooms, Chick Parade and a Fun Sketch Challenge
Today is new release day for Heart Song Designs. Leah has produced two new digistamps for us to enjoy. The names are Vintage Blooms and Chick Parade. There is going to be a sketch challenge on the Heart Song Inspirations Blog so swing on over and join in the fun.
I only had time to make a card with Vintage Blooms. I'll be back later with one for Chick Parade. When I looked at the Vintage Blooms and read the name, it inspired a Sepia colored image in my mind. I hope you enjoy.
Materials:
A2 Card Base
Background paper is from a Vintage stack I bought years ago in anticipation of making a Heritage Scrapbook. I started it but haven't finished.
Image - Vintage Blooms from Heart Song Designs
Ribbon
Promarkers used:
Ivory, Pastel Beige, Cinnamon
This is a simple card but I feel it conveys the essence of vintage. I like how it turned out.
Here are the images as they were released.
Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to visit our blog. It means everything to us. God Bless You!!! Peggy
