Pumpkin Bouquet - Fancy Frames and Picturesque

In trying to decide what to make as my entry today, I did a search of my hard drive to see what kind of files I had on Fall or Autumn.  Lo and behold, I found this lovely little digistamp called Pumpkin Bouquet.  I have had it a long time and forgot I had it (ever do that?)  It came from Fred She Said group on Crafter's Digital Art Center.  It is perfect for what I wanted to make.

Donna and I have been discussing that we need to start making something with our cartridges that we have never used.  So for this card, I wanted to do a frame so I got out Fancy Frames.  First I colored my digi with Promarkers.  Then I decided on  my paper (which is probably not the best order to use).  I have had this paper stack a long time too.  It is called Mango Frost by DCWV.

I wanted a round frame for the image.  The border on the one I chose was too wide so I used Cricut Craft Room and hid the inner cut.  Next using the circle from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge, I stretched the circle until the frame border was just right.  I cut 2 of them.  I used a Martha Stewart Circle Cutter to cut out my digistamp and glued one frame over it.  I inked all the edges of my cuts with Color Box Turquoise Ink.  The corners were cut from the Picturesque cart (this cart has some beautiful cuts on it) and inked with turquoise ink.   After adhering all the elements to the front of the card, I applied foam adhesives (pop dots) to the second frame and placed it over the first one.

This is a close up of the frame.  Can you tell how adding the pop dots makes it look 3D?

This is the inside of the card for the sentiment.

Picturesque Meets Vintage Damask Imagine Cartridge

The Picturesque cartridge has a nice card feature.  It makes a tri-fold card.  I used page 54 and page 55 to construct this card.
I used the Imagine Vintage Damask Cartridge to cut all the elements.  I chose the pattern I wanted the card to be and then the colors.  This is how it looks on the mat.  I cut the flower large enough to cover the cutout on the front.  I inked everything with Stucco colored ink and added stickles to the flower and leaves.

This is the inside flap of the card.  I outlined it with stickles.

This is the card inside.  I cut 3 separate panels for it because it's easier to fold.  I used a Martha Stewart  Corner Punch on the corners.  The embellishments are some stickers I have had for a long time.  I will use the inside panel for the sentiment.
Thanks for visiting with us today.  I apologize for the post being late.  I did not feel well yesterday so could not get my MOJO going.  We look forward to your comments and visits.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Asian Screen Card

Have you tried the card feature of the Picturesque cartridge yet.  This feature is not your typical card.  The ones I've tried are tri-fold with cutouts.
This card is featured on Page 74 of the handbook.  I cut it at 15"X7" using a 24" mat.  Once it's folded it measures 5X7.  This card looks like an Asian Screen.  I put green vellum behind the front of the card.  I added a rose digital stamp.
This cartridge also has a corner feature.  The second page is covered with Anna Griffin Carolina Collection paper.  I added corners cut from page 74.  They were cut at 1 1/4".

The inside of the card is covered with a coordinating paper from the above collection.  The sentiment is self-explanatory, "Sometimes you've got to stop and admire the beauty of flowers."  I added another rose to the interior colored with Promarkers.

We love having you visit.  Thanks for dropping by.  God Bless You.  Peggy

Another Vera Bradley Inspired Card

Vera Bradley has a lot of nice designs. I recently acquired a Vera Bradley pen. So I thought I would make a card to go along with the pattern of the pen which is called Cupcakes Pink.

This is the first round card I have ever made. I used George and Basic Shapes to cut my card base after welding the two circles in Design Studio. I used Lacy Labels to cut the scalloped circles. The green flower is cut from the Bloom cartridge. The white and pink flowers are cut from Picturesque. Of course, the blue circle and the white flower are cut from George. I added bright pink pearls for interest.

On the inside I used StoryBook to cut the Thank You. Stickles were added to dress it up a little. I'm so glad someone came up with Stickles. I wish it had been me.

Thank you for visiting our blog today. I hope you all have a great weekend. I'm headed for my son's in NC. He is singing a solo with a choir at a church near our old house. You know how we Mom's are. If the kids (no matter how old they are) are doing anything, we want to be a part of it. God Bless You !!!! Peggy

Picturesque Birthday Cards

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers Monday. It was a rough day (a lot of them are) but with God's Daily Grace we made it through it.

I was looking through my cartridges and there are several I have not used. I'm sure none of you are like that. As I was looking through the Picturesque Handbook, I noticed it has a nice card feature. It is a double fold card. So I decided to use this feature for today's card (s).

I don't have a 12X24 mat so I cut it as large as I could with my 12X12 mat. It measured 11.5X5. I chose page 30 for my card. I scored it on the score lines and folded it. I then lined the two ends with a different color paper and added embellishments to blend with the color scheme. I made two cards to show how you can use it horizontally or vertically.
I hope you enjoyed looking at these cards and we hope you will return on a daily basis. We love your visits and comments. God Bless You. Peggy
