Crafters Digital Art Center is having the final phase of their Progressive Freebie Challenge. Here is a link to the free digital image you can get to enter this challenge. It is a beautiful angel and sentiment by Shelly Parker of Shelly's Images. I enjoyed working with it and I hope you will give it a try. Here is my card I made using this lovely image.
I found out this week a dear friend lost her brother so I plan to send it to her as a sympathy card.
These are the components of this card.
Background Paper is Classic K Bailey by KandCo.
Digital Image - Angel and Sentiment by Shelly Parker of Shelly's Images. Colored with Promarkers and highlighted with Pebbles Chalk.
Scalloped Square - Cut from basic cardstock with Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
Lace
Prima Flowers -I used pearls for the centers
Pearl Flourish
I'm sorry I forgot to take a picture of the inside. The sentiment says, "Angels have wings to carry your prayers." I framed it with a pink frame that was left from a previous cut made with one of my Cricut cartridges.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope your weekend is great and relaxing. Your comments are appreciated. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Marker Storage
I have looked for a long time (ever since I started buying Promarkers) for something to store them in at my crafting place. In December I found it. I've got my markers set up so I wanted to share with you. These can be bought in single trays, 6 trays to a set or 12 trays sets. Donna gave me a 6 tray set for Christmas and I bought the 12 tray set. I needed that many because I have all 144 colors of Promarkers and I also bought the limited seasonal colors. Okay, I admit this is another obsession of mine. Here are a couple of pictures to show you how I've got mine set up.
You can stack these straight on top of one another or at an angle on top of one another. I put mine together at an angle. It helps a whole lot when you are retrieving them. Hopefully you can see this in this photo.
If you're interested in getting some of these, they are called Ultimate Pen Storage Rack and I got mine at Hallmark Scrapbook and here is a link to them. I'm not advertising for anyone, just wanted to share something that worked for me.
Thanks for dropping by today. Donna has gone back to work and I'm puppy sitting Buttons. She & Max love this. We love your comments and visits. If you have found something that works for your marker storage, please share with us. God Bless You!!! Peggy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JACOB!!!! - Wild Card 2
Hi Everyone!!
Well, on this day, 12 years ago at 8:01 p.m., the most special little boy (at least to me) was born. I had been married for 14 years and tried for years to have a child. He was special that day and he is even more special today!!
From the day he was born, I sang to him when he was going to sleep. The song I sang over and over was "You Are My Sunshine!" I would rock him to sleep (yes, I admit, I did it) and I'd sing. We both loved it!! Now whenever Jacob doesn't feel good, is sick, or nervous about something, he'll say - Mommy, sing to me!! I remember one time, I took him to the doctor and they were going to test him for strep throat and the flu (which he had). He told me on the way to the lab that he needed to go to the bathroom. His doctor showed me where it was. Well, when we get in the bathroom, he turns around and says - "I don't need to go to the bathroom, Mommy, just sing to me!" We stood in the bathroom while I sang through the whole "You Are My Sunshine" song! After that, he went out into the lab and had both tests done without crying!! Just last week, he had a stomach virus and he asked me to lay down with him and sing to him. I did and he fell asleep while I was singing. Even at 11, I can still sing him to sleep! I just LOVE that boy!!!!!
So, TODAY IS JACOB'S BIRTHDAY!!!! He is 12 years old today going on 18!! I thought this card that I made for him was very appropriate for him!! He is our sunshine and we could not imagine our lives without him!!
I made this card using Wild Card 2 cut at 4". This cartridge makes the card and the envelope for you!! GOTTA LOVE IT!!! I hope Jacob loves it as much as I do!!
Thank you for stopping by today!! We appreciate your visits and your comments!! Until another day, God Bless You!!

Happy Birthday, Logan - Inside and Out Greeting Cards, Imagine
Hi Everyone!!
Boy, did I ever have a traumatic start to my day this morning!! I'm still shaking!! I know that Mom told you that we have a new member to our family - Buttons!
Well, Buttons and my soon to be 12 year old son, Jacob, collided this morning. She was yelping in pain, Jacob was crying because he had hurt her, and I was crying because I couldn't get either one calmed down - including myself.
So my husband took Jacob to school while I called Mom crying and woke her up. I asked her to take me to the vet. She jumped up and got ready in record time and came and picked Buttons and me up.
On the way, Mom prayed for Buttons who was still yelping in pain (and I was still crying by the way). Well, when we got to the vet, they told me they needed to weigh her. I was afraid to put her down but when I did, she didn't yelp and was walking around on the scales. Mom and I truly believe that God touched her because he knew that Jacob (or Mom, my husband, and me) could not stand it if something happened to her.
The vet said that she did not have any broken bones but she was just bruised and very sore. They gave her some medicine and needless to say, Ms. Buttons has lived the high life today. She was already spoiled but she's been even more spoiled today.
After we left the vet, I called Jacob's school and asked them to get a message to him about Buttons. I knew he would be upset all day if he didn't hear anything. When he came home from school, he thanked me for letting him know - he said he had been praying for Buttons all morning. Bless his heart - he felt so bad!! But accidents do happen - we just have to make sure to be more careful to watch out for Buttons because she's so little!!
Well, you might not have wanted to hear all that in order to get to the card for today, but I just had to get that off my chest. I'm still traumatized.
Now for the card - I made this card for Jacob's friend, Logan, for his birthday this week. For those of you with the Imagine, this card could not be easier. I used the Inside and Out. All you have to do is choose all the layers and the Imagine will print the card and all the layers. Then you just put it together. Jacob really liked the card.

Welcome Little One
I'm happy to report Donna has almost fully recovered from her surgery. She has one more week before going back to work. I must say I have enjoyed her not working. We have spent more time together and I have loved it. I wish she didn't have to go back. If we could only win the lottery. Of course, you have to buy a ticket to win, right?
When I saw this beautiful digistamp I had to have it. I immediately thought of Donna. She had told me she had to make a card for a friend who is expecting a daughter any minute. So I offered to help her since I wanted to color this little baby. I hope Taylor will like it.
Card Recipe:
5X6.5" card base
Digistamp - Bebe by Sugar Nellie.
Lori's Garden Cricut Imagine cartridge - Frames cut from this cartridge. I stacked 2 on the front.
Nursery Rhyme Cricut cartridge for the "Welcome Little One" sentiment on the inside.

Promarkers used to color Bebe:

Skin - Satin, Pastel Pink
Blanket - Baby Pink
This is the inside of the card:

Expression 2/American Alphabet
Well, I resisted buying the Imagine when it came out but could not resist the new Cricut Expression 2. It was premiered on April 26 on HSN. Just look at her go.
I made this card with one of the cartridges loaded on the new machine. It is American Alphabet.
Card Recipe:
5X5 card base
Paper - DCWV Cotton Blossom Paper Stack
Cricut Cartridge American Alphabet - Doily5 cut at 4", Font 3 shift and Font 3 Shadow cut at .75" all on page 61
Ribbon from Michaels threaded thru doily.
Bling
This is a very simple card but who says a card has to be hard or complicated to be pretty. I like this little card.
I'm so glad to have my internet back. Thank you for stopping by today. I hope to see you again tomorrow. God Bless You!!! Peggy
