WHHOOOO DO WE LOVE?? MAMAW - Create a Critter
Hi Everyone - LONNNGGGGGG time, Nooooooo Post!!
I feel like I have missed the last three months of my life sequestered in my house. I had surgery in December, went back to work at the end of January, worked for three weeks, caught the flu, out of work for a week, then Jacob caught the flu from me, then out another week of work taking care of him!!!!! With that said, I'm glad to be back in the world of crafting!
I had the idea of this gift bag in my head for a few days. I went to Michael's a few days ago and found these cute little owl cards, tablet, and journal in the $1.00 section. YES, I said the $1.00 section.
When I saw these, I thought I would buy a little gift from Jacob and Buttons to Mamaw. So I wanted to make a gift bag to match the owl card.
Using the Create a Critter cartridge, I cut out the different layers of the owl from page 25 at 4 1/4". It was such as easy project to make but I think it really turned out cute.
I took this over to Mamaw on Monday as a little surprise. She loved it especially since it was from Jacob and Buttons.
Thank you for stopping by today! We appreciate your visits and your comments. Until another day, God bless you!! Donna
I plan to enter this project in all these challenges.

Easter Card #2 - 2013
I hope you saw yesterday's post about the CDAC/Petaloo promotion. Lots of fun to be had. Don't be afraid to try digis, they are really quite easy & gives you another option for card making.
This is my second Easter card. I made it with the New Testament cartridge. As I said Friday, there are a lot of beautiful crosses on this cartridge. I had this cartridge ever since it came out and had not explored it. What a shame. How many times have I done this? Buy a cartridge, fail to use it.
Card Recipe -
5X6.5" card base
Paper - Shimmer paper, gold foil paper. I'm not sure the gold foil paper was a good idea. I had to take the picture at an angle to prevent my reflection and the reflection of the camera from showing in it.
New Testament Cricut Cartridge - for the cross cut at 5 in. I thought this cross was very elegant. I realize there was nothing elegant about the original cross on Golgotha but we are the recipients of God's Amazing Grace because of it. Thank God for that.
Before I go how about a cute doggie story? Last Thursday after work, Donna took Buttons to the vet to get her shots. She actually got 3. Friday, she was so sore she could hardly move so she did not act like herself. She's only 2.9 lbs and is very fiesty. She & Max are forever running, wrestling & rolling in the floor. She didn't feel like doing any of that Friday. I put her blanket in the sun on the floor and she managed to lay down on it. Max went over to her (he was trying to get her to play), picked up his little paw and laid it on her head. It looked like he was praying for her. It must have worked because she was better Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by today. We appreciate your support. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Winifred - Frame of Mind
I was feeling I had used up my MOJO yesterday when I created my White on White card. I said as much to Donna. She said, "Well it was awfully pretty, Mom." After dragging around all day, I thought I need to get something done, so I had printed off this darling little digi from Sugar Nellie named Winifred. I think these little beauties are my favorite digis of all time. I also had gotten the cartridge, Frame of Mind at a good deal so Donna suggested I combine the two. (You know she hasn't posted in a while, so she's got all this creativity stored inside her head.) LOL So I started working on this card after she picked up her little Yorkie, Buttons. I have a question for you. Do you think I overdid this card a bit? She is also going to be entered in CDAC/Petaloo Promo.
Card Recipe:
5X7 Card Base
Paper - KandCo. Botanicals Paper Stack
Frame of Mind Cricut cartridge - Frame cut at 6.0"
Digi - Winifred from Sugar Nellie
Petaloo Flowers
Jeweled Brads
Leaves cut with Martha Stewart Leaf Punch
Flowers on inside cut with Martha Stewart Hydrangea Punch
Promarkers used to color digi:
Hair - Pastel Yellow, Buttercup
Skin - Ivory, Satin
Eyes - Powder Blue
Dress - Soft Green, Tea Green, Orchid
Sweater - Orchid
Chair - Cocoa
Socks, Tea Green, Orchid
Doll - Putty, Baby Pink, Fuschia Pink
Shoes - Orchid
Here is a close up of Winifred. Isn't she adorable?
On the inside I punched some flowers and put them in the corner to decorate it.
Thank you for stopping by. Feel free to leave Donna a comment & tell her you would love to see some of her creativity flowing real soon. LOL We do appreciate the love you leave us and your visits. God Bless You!!!! Peggy

Totally White-Totally Cricut Card
I have had a totally white card rolling around in my head for a while. So today I decided to give it a go. I ended up using all Cricut products to make it, except for the pearls. It was nice making all the cuts out of one sheet of paper. I must say I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Card Recipe:
5X6.5" Card Base
"Scalloped Edge" Cuttlebug Folder for the embossing
Flowers - Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge - Cut in 1/4" increments.
Leaves - From the Creative Cards cartridge
Butterfly - From the Indie Art cartridge
Pearls
This is the inside of the card. As you can see, I continued the same all white theme for decorating the inside.
Donna came over yesterday afternoon and we added a new little work space to my craft room. I was thinking of getting a table but she suggested I get some of storage units from Michael's. Good idea, Donna. I already had two of them under my desk for paper storage so we just moved those out and added 2 more for another pedestal. Donna had one of the shelves she wasn't using so we laid it across the top. I must say I love it. My computer is sitting on it now but I have a Silhouette Cameo on order and that will be it's home when it gets here. I can't wait.
