The ladies in my neighborhood are starting their Bible study back October 3. I've been invited to join and I'm excited about that. So I thought it would be nice to present everyone with a bookmark. I used Cricut Craft Room to create a file for them.
The shape of the bookmark was chosen from Cricut Essentials and cut at 1.75 X5.25". The "faith" was cut from Home Accents. I then added a leaf cut using a Martha Stewart punch and some Flora Doodle flowers. I hope they will like them.
This weekend is lining up to be a fun one. My grandson, Christopher, has invited his Mom, Dad and me to his house in Stephens City, VA. The only problem with that is I will have to drive about 5 hours to my son's house in NC. Then the next day we will drive 6 or 7 hours to VA. I think I might check out the price of a plane ticket. LOL
Thank you for dropping by our little space in the blogging world. May you have a blessed day. God Bless You!!!! Peggy

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY, TANNER!!! - Sports Mania
Hi Everyone!
Today is the birthday of the son of one of my best friends! I was at the hospital when Stacy had him and have watched him grow from a little baby into a kind, considerate, respectful, and handsome young man!! He was five when Jacob was born and he's always taken care of Jacob and watched out for him. He's such a sweetie!! Today is Tanner Lee's 16th birthday!!
Tanner loves baseball and plays on his school's team as a pitcher. So of course, I had to make him a baseball card! I tried to use my new downloaded Cricut Craftroom, but I couldn't get it to work (Mama's gonna have to come fix it for me - she's Ms. Computer Techy Woman).
I used the Sports Mania Cartridge and cut the baseball frame at 5". Then I flipped the baseball frame and cut out one for the back of the card. I adhered both to red cardstock. I then covered the inside of the card with white cardstock, then red cardstock. The sentiments, "Have a ball....on your Big 16th Birthday!," were created in Word!
I think Tanner will like his card. Last year, I got his birthday mixed up with another one of my September birthday people and called him a week ahead of time and sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him on his way to school. He, his mom, and his brother, Parker, just laughed. Then Tanner, being the diplomatic person he is said, "Well, Donna, at least you can say, you were the first to wish me Happy Birthday this year!" Told you he was sweet!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! We appreciate your visits and your comments! Until another day, God Bless You! Donna

Two More Designs from CTMH
Well, I decided to make some more of the cards in the Close To My Heart Avonlea Card Kit. As I stated yesterday, this kit contains everything you need to make 15 cards - including instructions. The instructions help make it really easy - no thinking - just follow the instructions. They are made with simple cuts. I added Cuttlebug to give them a little dimension.
I love the patterned paper cardstock used in this kit. Sometimes simple is all that's needed. If you would be interested in purchasing the kit, please clinck on the link above.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back tomorrow. Donna will have another birthday card for yet another September birthday. God Bless You!!!! Peggy

CTMH Avonlea Card & Cuttlebug
My sister came for a visit last week. We always have a good time when we get together. She has a new love interest so she was on the phone a lot to him. We also spent a lot of time shopping. My sister is the "Master Shopper". I've not seen anyone who can beat her. My brother might come close. LOL. I've never seen a man love to shop like him. Anyway, we had fun. Max and I hated to see her go. Now on to my card.
This card is from the Close To My Heart Avonlea Card Kit. These kits have everything you need to make a packet of 15 cards; cardstock, stamps, embellishments, etc. Instructions for the cards are included. I used my Cuttlebug on the strip across the card. The cards are 4.25 X5.5" and there are 3 different designs.

HAVE A DAWG-GONE GOOD BIRTHDAY!! - WRAP IT UP
Hi Everyone!
I know I've said it before but we have a LOT and I do mean a LOT of birthdays in our family during the month of September! Well, this Saturday will be my nephew, Christopher's, birthday and my mother-in-law's birthday. I made this card last night for Christopher.
Now I have to commend his Mom and Dad for raising him properly. He is a wonderful young man and he's also a Georgia Bulldog fan. I told you he was wonderful.
On his birthday, I know he will be watching the Bulldogs play football - that's where the idea for this card came from.
Using the Wrap It Up cartridge, I cut the "football card" at 5" and then cut the layers and adhered them to the football.
Using Lyrical Letters and Cricut Craftroom, I merged the word "dawg" which if you're a Georgia Football fan is slang for the the team. I cut "dawg" out three times in the Georgia colors. I used WORD to print the rest of the sentiment and popped it on the front.
I think Christopher will get a big kick (get it - football humor?) out of this card! GO DAWGS!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Mom and I appreciate your visits and your comments! Until another day, God Bless You! Donna

Happy Birthday Cards - Out of Character
Hi Everyone!!
Well, yesterday was Mom's birthday and because she would not promise not to look at the blog yesterday, I decided to post her card today. Actually, I'm posting her card and my sister-in-law, Terrie's, card today.
I decided to make two cards at the same time so that I could use all the paper on the cards and not waste paper. One card (Mom's) is bigger than the other but I think they both turned out really pretty.
I used Cricut Craftroom and the new cartridge, Out of Character, to form the cardbase. I used the Happy Birthday Layer 2, Shift. I put two of these on the mat on the screen and turned them sideways, flipped one, and then merged them to form the cardbase. The bigger cardbase was cut at 5" x 6.5" and the other one was cut at 4" x 5.5".
I then cut the layers out of different colored cardstock and adhered them to the fronts of the cards.
I printed the sentiments on the printer and adhered to front of the card.
Mom really liked hers and I hope Terrie will like hers too!
We did have a birthday celebration for Mom this evening - we had dinner, balloons, and cupcakes. Craig did ask Mom how we were going to get all the candles on the cupcakes. He loves to pick on her - I gave her permission to hit him!! Here's a picture of her blowing out her candles.
I must say that I LOVE having my mom living just seven miles from my house!! If you didn't get a chance to wish Mom Happy Birthday yesterday, please do so today!!
Thanks for stopping by - we appreciate you, your visits, and your comments. Until another day, God Bless You!! Donna

Art Philosophy Birthday Card
My beautiful daughter-in-law's birthday is Friday. She is not a froo froo girl like me and she loves blue & brown. I used Art Philosophy and the Close To My Heart "Pemberley Workshop on the Go" to make this card.
Using the card feature on Art Philosophy I cut this card at 5 in. The center label was cut at 4" and the center label with the sentiment was cut at 1.5". The blue accent strip is 1" wide. All the paper, the wooden embellishments and the stamped sentiment are from the Pemberley Workshop on the Go. This packet has some beautiful paper. This is a picture of the stamp set.
The inside sentiment is from the Cricut Artiste Collection.
Here is a picture of this stamp set.
Thank you for visiting with us today. I hope you enjoyed the wreaths Donna and I posted yesterday. We had fun working together on them. Donna has been a regular visitor to Pinterest so we may be trying something else. LOL God Bless You!!!! Peggy

PUMPKIN WREATHS
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all are having a great Labor Day weekend! We sure are!!
You know I've told you that I'm addicted to Pinterest - well, Mom and I tried something new today. Something I saw on Pinterest - imagine that. We decided we were going to make pumpkin wreaths using Deco Mesh!! We went to church, ate lunch at my house, and then went to Mom's house, and started to work!
We had bought our supplies at Hobby Lobby. You can buy Deco Mesh for $9.99 there but we bought it on sale when it was 50% off. Mom bought a wire wreath at HL but I bought a pipe insulation tube and duct taped the ends together to form a circle for the low, low price of 97 cents - something else I saw on Pinterest.
Then we made bows with green deco mesh and tied them on top of the pumpkins.
We then hot glued fall picks to the wreaths!!
TA-DA! Here are finished wreaths
Here's Moms:
And here's mine:
So do you think they look like pumpkins??
We had blast making these and spending time together. We had to chase Max around the room a few times when he got something that we dropped. That boy sure is FAST!!
Thank you for stopping by! Mom and I both will have to be making cards tomorrow for all the September babies in our family - Mom included. Her birthday is Thursday!!
Thanks for stopping by and we hope you'll come back tomorrow! Until another day, God Bless You!! Donna
