THANKS - Artiste Cartridge - LOVE IT!!!

Hi Everyone!

Well, I have to apologize first because my project today is made using the wonderful, outstanding, and incredible Artiste Cartridge again.  Can you tell that I LOVE IT????

I wanted to make a thank you card for someone but then I decided to make a little "thank you gift!"  This box is on the Artiste Cartridge and I wanted to make it 4" big so I cut out four of the sides of the box at 1" each and glued two together - one set of two for the top and one set of for the bottom.  I then cut the bottom and top of the box out at 3".

I then glued one set of sides on the bottom and the other set of sides on the top.  I cut the blue patterned paper at 3" and covered the top.  The next blue patterned papers were cut at 2 1/2" and 2".  The label and "thanks" were also cut from the Artiste cartridge and popped on the very top.

I then cut strips of blue patterned paper and black paper in 1" x 3" strips and covered Hershey's nuggets to fill the box.

Then I placed the lide on top and tied it with a bow.

Jean loved her gift and was even willing to share her candy.  This project was so easy and only took about an hour to make (given the interruptions I had from my son and husband while I was working).  Easy Peazy!!!

Thank you for stopping by today.  We appreciate your visits and your comments.  If you are interested in purchasing the Artiste Cartridge, keep reading for a GREAT deal.

Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

Artiste B/D Card - Page 57

This card could be used for almost any occasion but I'm using it for a birthday card for one of my sisters-in-law.  The Artiste cartridge makes it so easy to create a card.

I used the card feature on page 57 and cut the card at 5".  All the paper on this card is from the Close To My Heart "Roxie" Paper Pack.  I'm not sure if it's available anymore.  Then I cut another card at 4" from a two sided piece of paper.  I cut it in 2, placed one half on the front, turned over the other half and placed it on the inside for the sentiment.  I cut Accent 3 on page 44 at 3" from a coordinating paper, placed portions of it on the front, then added some flowers and gems.

The inside sentiment is from CTMH Acrylix Stamp Set "Card Chatter-Birthday".  I love this set.

Thank you for coming by today.  If you want to purchase any of the items used in this card, just click on the link.  I really appreciate all your purchases.  Close To My Heart has outstanding products.  God Bless YOU!!!  Peggy

Happy Birthday, Gentle Ben! We Miss You!!

Thursday, August 23rd was my late husband's birthday.  Last year we released a large bouquet of balloons in his honor.  We decided to continue that act as an annual event.  I invited others in the family to join with us so there would be balloons from GA, SC, NC, FL, CA & VA floating to heaven.  I must warn you this post is picture heavy.

First are my pictures.  Poor little Max was afraid of the balloons.

Next are Donna's from Florida.  Looks like they're are having a great vacation.  The Smiley Face is from Donna, the truck is from Jacob because Papaw had a truck and the sports one is from Craig because he and Ben watched sports together.

These are from my son, Brian, in NC.  He said they drifted toward the beautiful sunset.

These are from my Sister in SC.  She and her friend released these.

Finally, last but not least, our niece Carol sent this slide.  I'm going to copy what she wrote.  It filled my heart with praise.
Skip and I went on the golf course across the street and let the balloon go around sunset.  I had written on it and we watched it go up gently into the heavens.  It sailed up and up, further and further, until it was distant and went into an area that when the balloon went there, the clouds surrounded it with a beautiful heart shape.
Thank you for allowing me to digress today.  I just had to honor my love.  God Bless You!!  Peggy

If The Shoe Fits

I was talking to my sister-in-law yesterday.  She told me she was sitting in her closet looking at her shoes wondering, "Where did all these shoes come from?"  It seems we all have this shoe fetish, even my brother.  We just love shoes.  Anybody else out there like that.  We've tried to analyze ourselves  to see where this problem originated.  Unsuccessful.  Anyway, her statement inspired this birthday card for her.  She's another September birthday.

Card Recipe:
5X6.5 Card Base
Background Paper - DCWV Lace & Linen Paper Stack
Shoes - Better Together Imagine Cartridge - I used the different patterns and colors from this cartridge to make them.  Cut them at 1".
Ribbon - placed to create squares to showcase each shoe.
Sentiment- computer generated.
Stamp for inside - Close To My Heart Stamp Set - 4 My Friend
I like this stamp set.  I have used it several times.

This is the inside of the card.  I had some leftover cutouts so I used them as labels for the message.

I hope your week is going great.  I have missed Donna, be glad when she gets home.  Thanks for visiting today.  I will try to have something for you again tomorrow.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Birthday Card - Better Together

You can never have too many birthday cards.  Since most of my family has a birthday in the next few months, I'm getting some made.  I used the Imagine Cartridge "Better Together" for the lady on this one.

Card Recipe:
Card Base:  5X6.5"
Background paper - KandCo. Classic K Bailey Paper Stack.  I added stickles to some of the flourishes to give it a little sparkle.  You know we like our bling.
Label - cut with Art Philosophy - 1 1/2".  If you don't have Art Philosophy, you can use a label from another cartridge.
The Lady - cut using "Better Together" Imagine Cartridge.  If you don't have an Imagine, you could used Forever Young.  There are  lots of ladies on it.
The Sentiment is a Close To My Heart Acrylix Stamp "Card Chatter-Birthday".  This stamp set has the sentiment for the outside and the inside.

This is the inside.

Thanks so much for visiting with us today.  I hope Donna is having a relaxing vacation.  She needed one.  It's bad when you go on vacation and then need a week to rest up from your vacation.  That's how it goes a lot of the time.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Happy Birthday - Another Greeting Cards Inside And Out Card

My friend, Dennis, is having a birthday this week.  It is the day before my husband's was and we always celebrated the two of them together.  This year I can only send a card.  I decided on this one from the Imagine cartridge "Greeting Cards-Inside and Out."  I really like this cartridge for quick and easy projects.  I hope Dennis likes it.

This card is so easy.  All I did was decide which card I want to make, the size and choose layers.  The Imagine did the rest.  It printed it and cut it out.  I popped some of the layers with foam adhesives.

This is the inside.  Sorry but I forgot to take the picture before I wrote in it.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Donna and her family are on vacation so you probably won't see anything from her this week.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Max's Friend Sandy - Four-Legged Friends

Max, my little Maltese, has been going through some transition challenges since we moved.  I'm hoping he's finally settling down some.  We met the lady across the street and her little dog, Sandy.  Sandy is a miracle.  She survived being carried away by the tornadoes that hit Ringgold in 2011.  She was gone for 3 days but was finally reunited with Joan, her mommy.  Max told me this morning he wanted to send Sandy a card.  So we put our heads together to come up with this card.

Card Recipe:
A2 card base
Background Paper - DCWV Natural Paper Stack
Cricut Lite Cartridge - Four-legged Friends

We took it over to Sandy's house and she wasn't home so we left it on the door.  She and Joan were thrilled to find it when they got home.  That Max is a shmooser.  He knows how to tug at your heart.  What did I ever do before I got this little sweetheart.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Donna and I love your visits and comments.  Max does too.  God Bless You!!!! Peggy & Max

Welcome To The Neighborhood

I have a new neighbor who just moved into the townhouse on the other end of mine.  Guess what, her name is Peggy also.  They have named me Peggy 1 and her Peggy 2.  My plan to welcome her was to make her a card and take her some pastries.  I went to the grocery store this morning and bought the pastries, along with some other things, but the pastries didn't make it home.  Don't know what happened to those little boogers.  Now I've got to go back in the morning and see if they can tell me what happened to them.  I did manage to get her card made though.  I hope she will like it.

Card Recipe:
A2 card base
Handy Man Lite Cricut Cartridge - the house & Welcome To the Neighborhood.  I used Cricut Craft Room and cut it at 2 in.
Ribbons & Rosettes Cartridge  - the grass cut at 1.5X6"
Create A Critter - the Sun cut at 1.2"
Flowers are from a $1 stamp I got at Michael's.  I stamped them in Olive and colored them with gel pens.
I used Pebbles Chalk to color the sky trying to make a cloud.
Added the stitching to make the wording more distinctive.

I already had the frame cut out from something else I made so I put it on the inside.

Thank you for visiting today and please come back tomorrow.  God Bless You !!!!  Peggy

I HAD AN IDEA - ARTISTE, GEORGE, PINTEREST

Hi Everyone - I know I've said it before but I'll have to say it again!  I'm addicted to Pinterest.  But really, that's a good thing!  Part of the project I made today came from something that I saw on Pinterest.  It was instructions to create a flower pillow where you cut circles out of felt and fold them in half. This link will take you to a picture of the pillow:  http://pinterest.com/pin/30540103692586839/

I liked the looks of it so I thought I could do the same thing with paper!  Voila!

Using George, I cut a 3 1/2" circle out of white cardstock.  I then used a piece of two sided cardstock to cut out a page of 1 1/4" circles.  I then folded the circles in half alternating between the two sides.  Starting on the outside of the circle, I glued the folded circles until the whole 3 1/2" circle was covered.

This is the finished circle.  When I started covering the circle, I didn't know how I was going to use it.  Then I thought of my new favorite cartridge, Artiste!!!

I created the box below cut at 3 1/4".  Simply pushed the buttons and glued the top together.  I created the bottom and found that the way the box is cut - the sides are not able to be glued together.  With my left over circles, I attached one at each angle - you can kinda see that in this photo if you look closely.

Then I added ribbon around the top, tied a bow, and popped the circle on top.

This is the finished project.  Mom has a new neighbor - she said she wanted the box to put cookies in as a "welcome to the neighborhood" gift.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  We appreciate your visits and your comments.  If you would like to order the Artiste Gift set, follow this link to order.  The kit includes the Artiste cartridge, three sets of stamps, and 3 pages of chipboard cut outs for $99 - it is Sooooooooo worth the money!!

I am going to enter it in these challenges.

2 Christmas Cards From A Quilted Christmas

I didn't get these cards done in time to post this morning.  I worked on them some more today so I'm posting late for Thursday and early for Friday.

Have you seen the new "A Quilted Christmas cart"?  It's pretty cute.  There are a lot of layers to the main image.  You can make an image as detailed as you like or simple.  You can also do just a silhouette.  I used the angel on page 52 for my cards.

The card base is 5X6.5".  The angel and all components on this card were cut at 5 inches. There are several layers.  The one thing I don't like about this card are the facial features.  I wish I was an artist.  I would just draw them. The Peace On earth is from Scandinavian Christmas Cards.

This card is made using the card feature on page 52.  It was cut at 5.5".  There is really no room for a sentiment on the front unless you just put Peace or Joy on it.  You could take this cartridge, use the card feature and have all your Christmas cards done in a short while.

We appreciate your visits and comments.

THANKS - Artiste Cartridge (LOVE IT!)

Hi Everyone!

Well, let me say it - I LOOOOVVVEEEEEE the new Artiste Cartridge.  I don't believe that Provocraft has ever made a cartridge with so many options, projects, cards, etc. on it!!  Did I say I LOOOOVEEEE it????

I made the card below just by choosing the card option at 5" and hit cut.  Notice the little lip that holds the card together.

I added patterned paper to the front.  I then made a band with the paper that I left over after I cut out the card.  Then I chose the label at 4" and then cut one out of patterned paper at 3 1/2".

I chose the bow and simply hit cut again!!  I held the bow together with a brad.

Here is the card assembled.  LOVE IIITTTTT not only because I think it's pretty but because it was sooo easy!!!  You will be seeing LOTS of posts using this cartridge.

You can purchase this cartridge for $99 from Mom who is a Close To My Heart consultant.  With that cartridge you get three sets of stamps that coordinate with cuts on the cartridge and three sheets of cardboard cuts that coordinate with the stamps and cartridge.  Just follow this link if you're interested in purchasing it.

We thank you for shopping by today and we hope you'll come back tomorrow.  We appreciate your visits and your comments.  Until another day, God Bless You!  Donna
