Three Ways To Make The Same Card

A while back I posted a card inspired by Enfys Cashmore of Going Buggy.  At the time of her post, she was giving away some votive covers to two people who left a comment on her blog.  I'm pleased to say I was one of those winners.  I'll show them to you a little later in this post.  First I want to show you the card I made using one of them.  Notice the embossing on the paper. It is American Crafts Specialty Paper - Damask.

This is a picture of some of the votive covers.
I used Martha Stewart punches for the butterflies and bent their wings.  I added Stickles - Waterfall down the spines of them.
After making it, I thought it would be to make one with the Cricut & the Silhouette Cameo because the votive covers are from the UK and I couldn't find any in the US.

First I used the Cricut Expression 2 to make this card.
Products I used:
Anna Griffin "Rosa" Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the embossing on the cardstock.
Paper Trimmings Cricut Cartridge for the Butterfly Border.
Indie Art Cricut Cartridge for the Butterflies.  This is my favorite butterfly image.  I cut the basic & the blackout in various sizes.

This card was made with the Silhouette Cameo.
Products I used to make it:
SEI White Elegance Paper
Snapdragon Snippets Butterfly Flourish Border - Design # 43300
Silhouette Butterfly - Design #2004 cut at varying sized.

These cards were not hard to make but yet have simple elegance about them.  Thank you for letting me share them with you.

I hope you will come back soon.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

Honeycomb Ornament - Thank You, Gaby

My friends in my neighborhood have found out I like to craft.  They have asked me to have a craft night and teach them how to make an ornament.  Donna suggested I make this one to see if I thought it was too difficult for them.

When I saw this ornament for the first time, I knew I wanted to scraplift it.  I found it on Gaby Creates.  I love the way Gaby made it.  She has great instructions on her blog so I won't try and recreate them.  Click on Gaby Creates to find Gaby's ornament and instructions.

The first time I cut it I cut it too small and when I tried to put the ends together, it pulled apart.  This one is cut at 4.25".  I wouldn't cut it smaller.  You can get 6 cuts on a 12X12 page.  You will need 18 ornaments to make this 3D one.  The paper came from JoAnne's.  I couldn't find a double sided piece of Christmas paper that was thin.  Hopefully they will get some more in soon.  Double sided paper will make a prettier ornament, I think.

Thank you for your visits and comments.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

A Card From Our Leftovers & Close To My Heart Products

Isn't it amazing how many scraps we can accumulate?  I decided to make a card from some leftover lavender paper.  I had already punched the edges when I was making Max's Easter basket.  Actually it was an error.  I love to turn errors into something lovely.

The white label is leftover from a cut from Fancy Frames.  It's the inside of a frame Donna used.  The flower corners are from Paper Trimmings Cricut cartridge cut at 1.5".  I crisscrossed gingham ribbon behind the label.  I added gems to the flower centers on the punched area and the corners.  I used my new Sentiments stamp set from Close To My Heart for the greeting.  I love it.

Another item I love is the Acrilix Stamp Spritz and the Double Stamp Scrubber.  I sprayed the stamp I used with the spritz and then rubbed it on the  Stamp Scrubber and all the ink came off.  If you care to get any of these products just click on the links.

Thank you for your comments and visits.  We truly appreciate them.  God Bless You!!!
