We began a new  Mod Squad Challenge today. This is my card using the digistamp Fancy Butterflies from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  

The background paper and the die cut is glitter paper.  I used the pre-colored butterflies and added glitter to them.  The sentiment is from an Anna Griffin Cricut cartridge.

Mod Squad Challenge - Use It Or Lose It

Our theme this week is "Use It Or Lose It".  By this we want you to use something that you have had for a year or more and haven't used.  I bought a Minc machine last year and I admit I haven't used it but maybe once.  I couldn't decide if I liked it that much.  So I decided I would use it for my card.

Background is a foiled background using the Minc and mint green foil.

Mod Squad Challenge - Mother's Day

Our theme this week is Mother's Day.  I have a confession to make about Mother's Day.  I used to hate to go to church on Mother's Day because the preacher would get up and talk about this perfect, super- human Mother.  I didn't know any Mothers like that especially me.  All the mothers I knew had flaws, like everyone else.  Then I realized, we don't have to be perfect (no one is), we just have to love our children and do the best we can.  My kids turned out to be great adults, not because I was perfect but because God kept his hand on them.  

Now on to my card for the challenge.

I printed the image in the middle of a piece of white cardstock, then used an Anna Griffin Ornamental Frame Die to cut it out.

I would love to give this card to my Mother but she is no longer with us.  She would have been 100 this year had she lived.  Happy Mother's Day, Mom.

Mod Squad Challenge - Spring Time

Our theme For this week is "Spring Time."  I love how the flowers and trees start to bloom, the birds appear and everything just comes alive.  I'm not fond of the pollen, though.  This is my card for the challenge.

Card Supplies:
5X7" Card Base-  I have been cleaning out my craft room and I found some paper that I thought would make some pretty cards.  It was one-sided patterned paper so the side without the pattern is perfect for the inside of the card.  The back also has a pattern on it which makes it more interesting.  This is one of them.
Image - Spring Florals Set from Sparkle n Shine.  This set has several lovely flowers in it.  I'm sure I'll be using more of them, but I thought these Hydrangeas were perfect for this project.  I cut them at various sizes and stacked them with foam adhesives.
Stickles added to the flowers and leaves for some sparkle and shine.
Butterflies and bird are Martha Stewart punches.

Mod Squad Weekly Challenge

Mod Squad Challenge - Masculine Birthday

It's my day to post at the Mod Squad Challenge.  I got to choose the theme.  Since I have two brothers with birthdays in January I chose Masculine Birthday.  A lot of us crafters have trouble with masculine cards so I thought this would be good practice for us.

My Cards

I made these two cards using this cute digi, Happy-Digital Stamp Set 595. It has a sentiment with it that says, "Cruisin' in to wish you a Happy Day."  The first is a swing card made using a Cricut Design Space file and paper from my stash.  I got inspiration for the second on Pinterest.  Be sure to go to Sparkle N Sprinkle and look at all the products they have for your inspiration.
