VALENTINE GIFT BAGS - LOVE STRUCK, SWEETHEARTS

Hi Everyone!  One of my friends asked me if I would decorate some gift bags for her  to give to her Secret Pals at church.  Of course, I said yes.

For the first bag - I used the Love Struck cartridge cutting the shadow and heart out at 5".  For the tag, I cut out two shadow hearts and popped them together, then cut out the word Love from the cartridge at 1".

For the second bag - I cut out a piece of white embossed paper at 4 3/4 x 5 3/4.  I then cut the same size out of die cut heart paper.  I then used Cricut Craftroom to make a frame using George's round rectangle which I popped on top of the red heart paper.  I cut the cherub out at 3" from the Sweethearts cartridge.  I embossed it using the heart dot embossing folder.  I popped it in the center of the heart die cut paper.  For the tag, I used the negative white center of the frame and cut out another 3" cherub.

All in all, I think they turned out cute!!  Thank you for stopping by!  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

VALENTINE GIFTS - HOW TO INSTRUCTIONS

Hi Everyone - I recently received the February issue of the CARDS magazine.  One of the articles showed how to make paper roses so I thought I would try to make a few flowers to go on some Valentine's gifts for Jacob's teachers.

1.  Cut 8 - 8 petal flowers at 3" using the Bloom Cricut Lite Cartridge.

2.  I cut the flowers according to the instruction in the book - an example of all the cut flowers is shown.  The first flower was cut between the middle of two petals to the middle of the flower.

3.  I then glued all the flowers together

4.  Once the flowers had dried, I snipped the point on the bottom of each flower.

5.  Then starting with the biggest flower, paste the flowers, one on top of the other.

I then cut hearts at 4" from the Love Struck Cartridge and adhered them to the front of the bag.  I stamped the sentiment and adhered to the bag and attached another flower.

I covered Hershey Nuggets with 3" strips of paper and put them in 3" cellophane bag. I cut labels at 4" and 3 1/2" with the Preserves Cartridge and stapled the labels and bags together.

I hope Jacob's teachers enjoy their gifts as much I enjoyed making them. Thank you for visiting with us.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

Love Struck

I love any cartridge that has lacy, froo froo (Donna's words)and intricate cuts.  Love Struck came out last year around this time and it fits the bill.  There are quite a few lacy hearts and cuts on it.  I made this card to enter in a challenge on Cricutolics.  Cricutolics is another Cricut forum started by some ladies in the UK.  The challenge is to make a card with a heart from any cartridge.

4.25X5.5" card
Cover is white glitter paper
Heart -3.75X3.5" - Love Struck Cartridge
Love - 2X1" - Love Struck Cartridge - on white glitter paper
Red Mesh, White Double Edge Lace, Valentine Ribbon
Be sure to put mesh, lace and ribbon on the card cover before putting cover on card.  Wrap edges under cover.

Thank you for your encouragement and visits.  Have a good day.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

Wild Thing, You Make My Heart Sing

Isn't that what you think about when you look at this digistamp?  Meet Gary, the Giftbearer.  He is a product of Bonibleaux Designs Digis.  This website deals mainly in male inspired digital images.  Gary was offered on Crafters Digital Art Center's Color Challenge.  To enter, we had to create a card with Gary using turquoise, green, rust and grey.  This is my rendition.

I created my card background using the above colors.  The brads on the side strip coincidentally already had those colors on them.

These are the Promarker colors I used on Gary, the Giftbeater.
Shirt - Honeycomb and Spice
Skin - Satin and Dusky Pink
Hat - Midnight Blue and Cool Grey 2
Pants - Duck Egg and Turquoise
Shoes - Cool Grey 5
Gift - Olive and Pine
Flowers - Leaf Green, Baby Pink, Red, Canary and Purple
After mounting him on a label cut from Lacy Labels (it is the All Boy base cut) the white background seemed too stark, so I applied green chalk to tone it down and help it to blend in.

The inside of the card is decorated using the following cartridges.
Frames - Lyrical Letters - 5X6.5 and 4.75X6.25
Hearts - Love Struck
Wording - Mickey Font, Locker Talk and Paper Lace

I hope you enjoyed meeting Gary today.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come again tomorrow.  God Belss You!!  Peggy
