I first saw Polkdoodle's Cds on Enfys Cashmore's Going Buggy website. Enfys is one more talented lady. Donna broke down and bought the newest CD called "Cherryblossom Lane". She is letting me play with it. It has some adorable images, papers, embellishments, scenes, etc. All you have to do is print & cut them out and make your card. This is one I made for a sick friend.
I worked with image to get it to print in the right place on my cardstock. Then I folded it in half, added some bling for the flowers. The background was really stark white so I added some green chalk to the background to give it some interest. It doesn't show up very well in the picture.
This is the inside. I used a leftover cut from the Cricut Elegant Edges for the frame. The stamp is from a Close To My Heart stamp set. I used CTMH Outdoor Denim ink. The house shoes is an embellishment from the Cherryblossom Lane CD. Polkadoodles has quite a few CDs to choose from. You might want to check them out.
Thank you for stopping by. I'm a little bit late posting today. Jacob spent the night with me last night so I ended up watching wrestling(ugh) with him instead of posting my card. That's more important. God Bless You!!!! Peggy

Past Easter Cards
We are approaching Easter, my favorite time of the year. This is when we focus on all that Jesus did for us on the cross and His glorious resurrection. Without these two things we wouldn't have faith. I'm so glad He loved us that much, aren't you?
A friend was over the other night and she was looking at some of the cards I still have here. She found two Easter cards she wants me to make her. I made them a while back and I've posted them on the blog but since we have some new followers I thought I would go ahead and post them.
This one features a digital image from Heartsong Images. Click here to go to the original post for directions and supplies used.

I have more Easter cards but I won't bore you with posting all of them. I hope to have some new ones for you during this pre-Easter time.
Thank you for stopping by today. It's always a joy to have you visit and read your comments. God Bless You!!!!! Peggy

Birthday Card-Creative Cards 1a
I found out today that tomorrow is my new friend, Joan's, birthday. I wanted to make at least one more card with the new Creative Cards cartridge while we had access to some of it for free. So I used Card 1a. I think Joan will like how this turned out. I will be entering this card in the CDAC Anything Goes Challenge. Please click on the link to find out more about it.
Card Recipe:
Card 1a - Creative Cards Cricut Cartridge set to be released today. Cut at 5.5". This is a tri-fold card.
Paper - French Country Paper Stack by DCWV
Leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
Flowers are some Donna & I picked up at Michael's in the $1 bin. Oh, did I tell you, we have a new Michael's near us. That's probably not a good thing.
I used chalk to do some shading on the birds so they wouldn't be so plain. I also layered the birdcage separating the layers with foam adhesive.
Here are a couple of other views of different parts of the card.
Thank you for visiting with us today. We love your comments and suggestions. God Bless You!!!!!! Peggy

Creative Cards-Card 3a
Provocraft is releasing another new cartridge Thursday, February 21. The name of it is Creative Cards. The reason I know is I was online at Cricut.com and stumbled upon it. As a matter of fact they are allowing us to cut some of the cards for a week (that would be through the 20th) using Cricut Craft Room. I think this is one I'm going to want. To make it easy for you to find it there is a link here.
My granddaughter-in-law is having a birthday this week so I decided to use these free card cuts to make her card. I used Card 3a. It was easy. My problem is making up my mind which paper to use, therefore I made it take longer than it should. What do you think?
Card Recipe:
Cricut Craft Room - Creative Cards - Card 3a- cut at 5.5. It makes an A2 card. Oh did I say, this cartridge also cuts the envelopes. I forgot I hadn't made it. So after I get through writing up the card, it's back to the crafting table.
Paper - I used paper from several different stacks of DCWV paper. It's just what kind of mood you're in. Stephanie loves green so I tried to use as much green as I could.
A button with Memory Thread through it as the center of flower. The cartridge has a center for the flower but I wanted to add a little something extra.
Here is a close up of the flower.
This is the inside of the card. I used a leftover cut for the message label, then cut some more leaves and added them as interest.
Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to follow the link above to preview this new cartridge, then go to Cricut Craft Room and cut out the cards they're offering this week. I'm sure you will like them. We so appreciate your visits. God Bless You!!!! Peggy

JACOB WROTE ME A POEM!!!
Hi Everyone!
There's not card for today! There is something better!! My son wrote me the sweetest poem for Valentine's Day that will cherish forever!
Here it is:
You are my protector like a mama bear and her cubs.
You are the angel that really loves.
You are a careful jewel
Who's always loving and never cruel.
You smell like a bright meadow under the sun,
But lots more fun.
You turn darkness to light,
And you feel my day with delight!
Needless to say, I cried tears of JOY!!! He made my day so special with this poem. Like I said, I will keep this poem forever!! He's so sweet!!!
Hopefully, we'll have a card for you tomorrow - thank you for your visits and your comments! Until another day, God Bless You!! Donna

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY - Cricut Craftroom
Hi Everyone and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
I don't know about you all but I don't seem to have enough time anymore for what I love to do! I don't have time to craft. You know the saying, "When mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" Well, when Donna (Mama) doesn't have time to craft, Donna (Mama) ain't happy!! Well, with the Valentine's Day holiday, I had to make time to craft! I just could not bring myself to buy a store bought card - just goes against the grain.
So with that said, with time being short, I downloaded some Valentine's cards to Cricut Craftroom. Then I simply had to select the card, select the size, put the paper on the mat, and have the Cricut Expression cut it.
Here are the finished products.
I hope each of you have a wonderful Valentine's Day! We appreciate your visits and your comments! Happy HEART Day! Until another day, God Bless You! Donna
