Cindy Loo Cuttlebug & Cartridge

Have you heard about the coordinating Cuttlebug folders for Cindy Loo? Well I ordered them. There are (2) 5X7 and (2) A2 folders in the set. I recently ordered them from Scrapbook Pal. They have free shipping for orders over $25 and they ship the same day most of the time.

I was anxious to try them out so I decided to make this card.

I cut the card front from Core'dinations cardstock. The color is a rich purple. I embossed it with one of the 5X7 Cindy Loo Cuttlebug folders. I then sanded the embossing with a fine grit sanding sponge. Here is a picture of the sanding sponge.

This is what the card front looked like after the sanding. Sanding this Core'dinations paper brings out the inner core color. I love the way this looks.

I then measured the block inside the paisleys and cut out the doily on page 72 of the Cindy Loo handbook. If you notice, this doily has a paisley on it.

I stamped a sentiment on my label. This could be anything you want but mine says, Be Still and Know I AM GOD. Psalm 46:10. I forget sometimes that He just wants me to be still and let Him talk to me.

I cut out the Peace from the font feature of page 72, made a label and affixed the word to it. I then stickled the P of Peace. I cut a paisley border from page 33. These 2 items I placed on the inside of the card. You still have plenty of room to write or stamp a message for your recipient.

I hope you find some inspiration from this little card. Thanks for your kind words of encouragement. Until next time, God bless you. Peggy

Male or Female BD Card

I made this card with a sister-in-law in mind. However once I got it made I thought it could be used for a male as well. (You all know I have the most trouble with masculine cards) I used DCWV Sweet Glitter Paper Stack. Not all of the sheets have glitter but a large number of them do.

The card size is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4. All of the elements came from a single page of paper. I just cut around the argyle design to get my label. I then stamped a "Birthday Wishes" on it. You could use this card for something other than birthday.

I hope you are having a good week. It seems to be flying by. We truly appreciate your visits and comments. God bless you. Peggy

I'm So Happy Friendship Card

I have a friend whom I dearly love. She's one of those friends who even though we don't talk every week, when we do talk it's like we've talked every day. She is a constant friend. I'm going to send her this card. When I saw this digi-stamp I just knew I had to make a card with him.

He is a Doodle Pantry digi-stamp. I downloaded him for free. He is such a happy little thing. I colored him with my new Promarkers(I'm still getting used to them). The background paper is DCWV Spring Stack printed paper. The edge is punched with the Martha Stewart Deco Fan Punch. I used the Lacy Labels cartridge to cut the label. The I'm So Happy is part of the digi-stamp.

The inside of the card: I used Cursive 101 cartridge to cut the "for your friendship" after welding it in Cricut Design Studio. The frame is cut at 5X7 from Lacy Labels. I will write a message to my friend within the frame.

Thank you for stopping by. We love visits and comments. God Bless You. Peggy

New Baby Card

Hi Everyone - my cousin, Angie, (who is younger than me!) became a Grandmother last week. Her daughter, Rachel, had a bouncing baby boy that she, and her husband, Brian, named Cain! They decorated their nursery in a jungle theme so I thought this card would fit right in with the theme.

Once again, I made this card from my scrap stash (YEA!). The background paper is from the DCWV stack, Safari Kids, that I purchased at Big Lots. I used my newest favorite Cricut cartridge, Create a Critter, and cut the monkeys at 2 1/4" and 2". The vine was cut at 2 1/4". I pop dotted the monkey and added bling for a little sparkle!

I created the border on the inside of the card using a Martha Stewart punch. I hope Rachel likes her card. She's a follower of our blog so she may see it here before it actually reaches her house.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for following our blog. Mom and I are honored that you would want to visit with us!! Take care and please send your friends for a visit!! Until another day, God bless! Donna

As we told you in our profile, we started this blog to honor my husband who passed away in March.  He was our biggest fan and cheering section.  We feel he had something to do with our reaching this goal in 1 month.  I know he is smiling down from heaven saying, " I told you two you could do this.  I'm so proud of you."

You're toad-ally fabulous!

Hey Everyone - Can you guess what the postman brought to me today? Something that I've been wanting for a long time. I received the "Create A Critter" cartridge that I ordered from Cricut Machine. I really love all the images on this cartridges. They're all so cute!

I used all scraps to make this card. The card base was cut out of kraft paper at 6 1/4" x 10". The male frog was cut at 3 1/4" and the female frog was cut at 2". The frog is located on page 24 of the booklet. I used the flower located on page 26 of the booklet for the bow in the female's hair.

I think they make a really cute couple. This would make a cute Anniversary Card. Maybe I'll give it to my hubby on our next anniversary.  Until another day, God bless.  Donna

Celebrate W/Flourishes Thank You

I am visiting with Donna again.  She left Jacob with me for a few days last week.  When I started to bring him to her last Sunday (We met in Atlanta), he cried because he had not gotten to stay with me a week.  I had to promise him I would come for a few days in order to stop the tears.  You know Mamaws can't stand that.

Also, remember Donna had my Celebrate with Flourish Lite cartridge.  So I got it out and made this card.  It took me forever because I didn't know where anything was in her scrap area.  I cut the bud vase at 4 inches using some DCWV Mango Frost Glitter Paper.  The border is a Martha Stewart punch cut from the same paper. This card looks much better than the picture shows it.

We have been shopping for some "Blog Candy".  We'll be awarding it when we get our first 50 followers.  We're only 5 away.
Thank you for your support and kind comments.  God Bless.  Peggy
