Celebrate W/Flourishes Thank You

I am visiting with Donna again.  She left Jacob with me for a few days last week.  When I started to bring him to her last Sunday (We met in Atlanta), he cried because he had not gotten to stay with me a week.  I had to promise him I would come for a few days in order to stop the tears.  You know Mamaws can't stand that.

Also, remember Donna had my Celebrate with Flourish Lite cartridge.  So I got it out and made this card.  It took me forever because I didn't know where anything was in her scrap area.  I cut the bud vase at 4 inches using some DCWV Mango Frost Glitter Paper.  The border is a Martha Stewart punch cut from the same paper. This card looks much better than the picture shows it.

We have been shopping for some "Blog Candy".  We'll be awarding it when we get our first 50 followers.  We're only 5 away.
Thank you for your support and kind comments.  God Bless.  Peggy

Thank You Volunteers

I work with the marvelous volunteers at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. My volunteers are the sweetest and most giving people that you would ever want the pleasure of knowing. We recently held our annual Auxiliary Awards Banquet and wanted to thank some staff people that helped with the planning and set up for the event. Our theme for the event was a "Star Spangled Salute" at which we honored all of our military veterans. We have some volunteers that served as far back as World War II. They're simply amazing people.

For the card, I cut the base with the A Child's Year Cricut cartridge at 5 1/4" so that it would fit in an A2 envelope. The cardstock is Stampin' Up (love their cardstock) and the printed paper is a scrap that I had from years gone by. I cut the "Thank You" with the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge at 2". I used the stars that were left over from cutting the card base to decorate the inside. I punched the red paper using the Double Loop Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for visiting and we hope you'll tell your friends to come for a visit too!! Until another day, God Bless! Donna

Thank You Berry Much

Have you tried any of the new Lite cartridges from Wal-Mart.  Mom wanted Celebrate with Flourish and they didn't have it at her Wal-Mart.  I found it at mine and got it for her.  The advantage to that is I get to play with it until I take it to her or she comes to see me.

This is a card I made testing this new cartridge.  The floral paper is a scrap I had (I just can't bear to throw away my scraps if they are usable).  I added ribbon to a strip of "Mango Frost" Glitter Paper and attached it to the floral.  I got the Mango Frost Paper at Hobby Lobby.  The berry is from Celebrate with Flourish.  I embossed it with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  If you get this cartridge, let us know how you like it.

Thanks for stopping by our blog.  We love visitors.  Donna
