My Imagine Cartridge Notebook

For the last couple of days I've been working on a project to get my Imagine cartridge patterns and colors organized.  I wanted to have them all readily available so I wouldn't have to thumb through all the handbooks to find one of them.  I read on the Cricut Message Board that some have printed circles and cut them, then put them on a ring.  I know I have some of those rings somewhere but I have no clue as to where they are.  Now Imagine that.  LOL. So in talking with Donna we came up with the idea of a notebook.

I took each cartridge and printed all the patterns and colors (separate pages for each) on a sheet measuring 8 1/2 X 11.  I used the circle that comes on the Imagine and made it 1.7 in.  Twenty of this size fit on a page.  The reason for doing this is to have an accurate picture of how it's going to print on my machine.  Now when I need a certain color or pattern, I can flip through my notebook and find exactly what I'm looking for.  It's a little time consuming but I hope it will be worth it.  Here are a few pictures to demonstrate what I did.  Don't you just love those Berries & Cream colors?

Thanks everyone for visiting today.  I hope your weekend is blessed beyond measure.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Ribbon Organization

I  have my craft space in one of my bedrooms which limits my space.  So I've taken to trying to organize some of my treasures.   Last week I decided to work on my ribbon. This is my finished product.
The rolls ribbon comes on take up a lot of room.  So I thought if I created a cardboard spool to wind my ribbon on, I could reduce the space taken up by it.  So I created a file in my Gypsy (yes in my Gypsy) using George & Basic Shapes.
This is what my cut looked  like after I removed the spools.

This is what each spool looked like.  I used heavy paper, Strathmore Vellum Smooth found in the artist aisle at Michael's. It's a pad of paper.

I found these Iris organizers at Hobby Lobby for $6.99.  After I finished with my ribbon, I found Iris organizers at Michael's on sale 2 for $9.00, which is the story of my life.
I hope this will give you an idea of how you can free up some space in your craft space.  Thank you for visiting us today.  We hope you come back tomorrow.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

Larelyn Inspires Some Organization

Larelyn at Handmade From The Heart posted some tips on Wednesday, September 8 about organization.  One of them was how she organized her "bling".  I was especially interested in this because I have a basket full and have to sort through it everytime I want to use it.  So I took her advice.  I had a spare notebook (Cricut Green, of course.  So I bought some plastic photo pages from Office Depot and used those to sort my bling by color.  Now when I want to use it, I will only have to turn to the color I want and choose what I need for my project.  I'm not sure what Larelyn said she got to go in her notebook but the photo pages work great.

I was already using trading card pages and a notebook for my small clear stamps, i.e., Studio G stamps.  Now I need to come up with a way to organize some of my other "stuff".  Please check out Larelyn's blog for other tips.  Her link is above.

I hope you all have a great weekend and that God Blesses you real good in your place of worship.  Peggy
