Hi Everyone! I don't know how many of you have watched the new show Extreme Couponer but I love to use coupons. I started couponing about a year ago and I wish that I had all the money that I have wasted in 23 years of marriage by not using coupons. I said all that to say that some of my volunteers found out that I like to use coupons and have started to bring me the coupons out of their papers. Some of them even go as far as to go ahead and cut them out for me! I so appreciate their generosity and decided to make them a little thank you card.
Card recipe
Locker Talk Cartridge - Card Feature cutting card at 8.25" x 5"
Scissors cut using the same cartridge and popped for dimension
Word used for Sentiment
These are very simple cards to make but were so appreciated by my volunteers. They're such wonderful people and I have the best job in the world.
Thanks for stopping by today. We so enjoy your visits and your comments. Until another day, God Bless You, Donna!!
Isn't that what you think about when you look at this digistamp? Meet Gary, the Giftbearer. He is a product of Bonibleaux Designs Digis. This website deals mainly in male inspired digital images. Gary was offered on Crafters Digital Art Center's Color Challenge. To enter, we had to create a card with Gary using turquoise, green, rust and grey. This is my rendition.
I created my card background using the above colors. The brads on the side strip coincidentally already had those colors on them.
These are the Promarker colors I used on Gary, the Giftbeater.
Shirt - Honeycomb and Spice
Skin - Satin and Dusky Pink
Hat - Midnight Blue and Cool Grey 2
Pants - Duck Egg and Turquoise
Shoes - Cool Grey 5
Gift - Olive and Pine
Flowers - Leaf Green, Baby Pink, Red, Canary and Purple
After mounting him on a label cut from Lacy Labels (it is the All Boy base cut) the white background seemed too stark, so I applied green chalk to tone it down and help it to blend in.
The inside of the card is decorated using the following cartridges.
Frames - Lyrical Letters - 5X6.5 and 4.75X6.25
Hearts - Love Struck
Wording - Mickey Font, Locker Talk and Paper Lace
I hope you enjoyed meeting Gary today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come again tomorrow. God Belss You!! Peggy
This birthday card is for my son who is turning "The Big 50" this month. It is hard for me to believe. It seems only yesterday we were growing up together. My husband and I got married when we were children so my kids and I have always said we raised one another. He is a son to be proud of. Both of my children have really stood by me since my husband's death. I love them dearly.
I used Kraft paper for the card base. I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder (don't know the name). Then added swatches of SEI Moravia paper. The word "the" was cut from Mini Monograms cartridge. The word "big" was cut from Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge. I added some embellishments and a "50". The "50" is from a Thickers Alphabet I purchased at Big Lots. They have them at Hobby Lobby. I then added some pen stitching for an added touch.
My son works with computers so I thought it would be fitting to work a computer into this theme somehow. I cut the computer from the Locker Talk cartridge. I can still write a message on the inside.Thank you for stopping by our little section of the web. We love your comments and visits. God Bless You!!! Peggy
