Welcome to my Saturday Outlawz Paper A La Mode Design Team post.  Our theme for this next week is Flowers.  Our sponsor is Sherri Baldy.  She has some of the most adorable digital images in her Etsy Shop.  You should go there and look.  I chose Image #235 to make my card.  You can find her here. I love these little big eyed cuties.  Please come join us for the fun.  There will be prizes.
Card Recipe:
I used an A2 card (4.25X5") as my base

For The Love Of Everyone

Welcome to our Valentine Blog Hop.  I know you have enjoyed a lot of wonderful projects on your journey.  We have a wonderful sponsor, Thirty-one Gifts for the major prize.   A storage tote with embroidery will be given away by one of the stops on the hop.  I can't tell you which one so you will want to visit each blog and leave a comment on each one.  There are prizes all along the way.  Donna & I are giving away the Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge.  You must be a follower and leave a comment below.

Since we first started talking about our Valentine Blog Hop, I've given a lot of consideration as to what I would make.  I decided to make a shadow box for my children.  This is the end result before inserting it in the shadow box.
The top photo is a picture of me and my husband when we got married.  I was 16 and he was 19.  We always said we grew up with our children because we were children when we got married.  The bottom photo was taken the Christmas before he passed in March, 2010.

Instructions for the elements included below.

Background Paper - KayandCo. Smitten Paper Stack
Red Flower
Leaves - Ashlyn's Alphabet Cricut Cartridge
Flourish - cut from White glitter paper with Ashlyn's Alphabet at 5X2.5"
Flower - Cut with Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut Cartridge from Red Glitter Paper.  Cuts are from 3.25" to 1.5" decreasing .25" each cut.  I used Key 31 for my flower.  Roll petals around round pencil to curve.
Rhinestone for the center.
 White Flowers
Leaves - Mother's Day Bouquet
Flourish - Purchased Flourish - Michael's
Flowers - Cut with Mother's Day Bouquet - Key 7
     Large - Cut 2.25 to 1.25 - decreasing .25 each cut.
     Medium - Cut 1.75 to 1" - decreasing .25 each cut.
     Small - Cut 1.5" to 1" - decreasing .25 each cut.
True Love - cut from Tie the Knot - Red Glitter Paper

Need A Hug???

Wonderful news.  The newlyweds are back home.  Parents, grandparents, and family are breathing easier.  Christopher said he was never leaving the US again.  They are so happy to be on US soil.  Thanks everyone for your prayers.

For my card today I've used a freebie from Doodle Pantry.  Laurie is having a challenge on her blog. She has a special  image you can get free by participating in the challenge.  So be sure and visit today.
I made this card at 4.5" X 6.5".  The paper is Mirabelle by The Paper Studio.  I bought the small stack which is perfect for covering cards, cutting frames and embellishments.  The frame is cut at 5.75"X3.25" using Ashlyn's Alphabet Cricut Cartridge.  It's the perfect size to fit around the bunny.  I layered the frame for dimension. I colored  the bunny with Promarkers and shadowed around him with green chalk.  The ribbon is DCWV.  I added buttons for interest.  I hope you will participate in the challenge at Doodle Pantry.  If you've been interested in trying digital stamps, this is a great opportunity.

Thank you for visiting our blog.  We love comments.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Cricut Couple Blog Entry

Our friends, Jill and Bobby, the Cricut Couple, are celebrating their anniversary.  To celebrate they are offering some wonderful blog candy.  They ask everyone to submit a card made for someone you love.  This is my card.  I didn't know if I would ever post it.

This was the last card I made for my husband.  When it comes to love, there was never anyone I loved more.  I made this for our 50th anniversary in February, 2010, which was one month to the day before he went home to be with our Lord.
I purchased some special paper with Gold in it.  I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page for the label.  The 50 is cut from the Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge.  It's a simple card but the part he loved most was the message I had inside.  He cried when he read it.

Thanks for allowing me to share this and for visiting our blog.  God Bless you.  Peggy

The Big 50

This birthday card is for my son who is turning "The Big 50" this month. It is hard for me to believe. It seems only yesterday we were growing up together. My husband and I got married when we were children so my kids and I have always said we raised one another. He is a son to be proud of. Both of my children have really stood by me since my husband's death. I love them dearly.

I used Kraft paper for the card base. I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder (don't know the name). Then added swatches of SEI Moravia paper. The word "the" was cut from Mini Monograms cartridge. The word "big" was cut from Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge. I added some embellishments and a "50". The "50" is from a Thickers Alphabet I purchased at Big Lots. They have them at Hobby Lobby. I then added some pen stitching for an added touch.

My son works with computers so I thought it would be fitting to work a computer into this theme somehow. I cut the computer from the Locker Talk cartridge. I can still write a message on the inside.

Thank you for stopping by our little section of the web. We love your comments and visits. God Bless You!!! Peggy
