DS4J New Releases - September 3

Time for another new release at Digistamps4joy.  There are several new mandalas, deer and kidsart.  They are all fun images.  I chose Mandala #1 for my card.  I started out coloring it in, then decided to be a little radical and do something totally different.  

I've had a Minc machine for a year or more and never played with it much. Lately, I've been giving it a go.  I decided to print my Mandala image with my laser printer.  Then I ran it through the Minc with gold foil paper.  I decided the negative image left on the gold foil would be pretty on some toner paper so I ran it back through the Minc machine.  Here is the result.

I placed the Mandala images on some gold and black paper, added some sequins and added a sentiment.  What do you think?  I also added a sentiment to the inside with a foiled rose.

DS4J Mid-Month Challenge Post

It's time for team B to post some inspiration for the Digistamps4joy August challenge.  The theme this month is Anything Goes with the twist Summer.  We are in the throws of summer here in the South.  I know some of you are having winter where you are so maybe our fun cards will warm you up a bit.

Card Supplies:
5.5" Square card base
Background - I used chalk to create the background
Images - I used 2 DS4J images for this card, Beach Umbrella and Misteri - Where's Summer (pre-colored)
Beach Umbrella was colored with Copics.
The sentiment was a freebie from another company.  I uploaded it into Photoshop Elements (which I know very little about) and worked with it until I got the words colored.

New Release - New Artist - DS4J

We have a new artist at Digistamps4joy.  Her name is Lyndall and draws fabulous birds and animals.  We were given a couple of her images to create a card for her release.  I chose the "Collared Sunbird-colored" for my card.

I used Cuttlebug Bird Cages and Branches Dies and Embossing Folders for the background, branch and birdcage on this card.  The bird was already colored beautifully so he needed no help from me.

Digistamps4Joy is releasing some fun new digis and re-releasing some of JenLee's images.  You've got to check them out in the store.  I chose one of Jen's re-releases.  It's a pre-colored image called "Country Bride." I tried to keep my card to match the image.

Digistamps4Joy Mid-month Challenge Post

Today is the 15th of April, time for Team B's posting some inspiration for the Digistamps4Joy Challenge.  Our theme this month is Anything Goes with a twist of "Inspired By A Song".  I tried to think of a popular song I could represent but then decided on a song that has meant so much to me all my Christian life.  It's an old hymn that tells of the "Amazing Grace" of God.  Where would we be without that Grace extended to us at Calvary.  Easter always re-emphasizes how much God loves us. Thank you, Father, for your wonderful grace and love toward us.  Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross that we might be saved.  Thank you, also, for rising from the dead that we can spend eternity with you.

DS4J New Release Sunday-04-01

Digistamps4Joy has a new release today.  They have new releases twice a month.  The design team has created some lovely cards.  Be sure to check them out.  I chose "Buster" for my card.  He's a sweet, happy little dog.

The background is a page from My Memories Suite software.  I have never tried to do a background with it but I like how it turned out. Butterfly Hydrangea by Margaret Kieser

I do hope 2017 is going to turn around and be a good year.  So far, not so good.  First of all I was in the hospital in January.  Last week my sister and her husband came to visit from SC.  He took Max out for a walk and fell flat on his face and knocked himself out.  He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.  He had a concussion and a slight brain bleed.  He had to stay 3 days.  They are back home now and he is doing well.  Max sent him a get well card today.

With the temperatures being Springlike it put me in the mood to work with this beautiful image Margaret Kieser of Digistamps4Joy gave her design team a few weeks ago.  With everything that's happened I have not had a chance to make a card with it yet.  Thank you, Margy, for this lovely image.  It can be found in her shop.
