A new challenge starts today at Crafty Cardmakers. The theme is Go Green. We want to see a lot of green on your projects, use up some of your stash, or even make a St. Patrick's Day card. Let's see your creations. I decided to make my first Christmas card of 2017.
This card is a Make It Now project from Cricut Design Space. It is called "Christmas Bow Card and Envelope". The images are from Anna Griffin's Christmas Cards and Embellishments cartridge. There is actually a ribbon and bow to cut out but I thought a real ribbon and bow looked better.
Thank you for visiting today. I hope to see your beautiful creations in our challenge.
God Bless You !!! Peggy

I'm sure you all have heard of Alyce Keagan from Kit and Clowder on Facebook. Alyce is a super talented colourist and teaches coloring classes through Kit and Clowder. You should look at some of these classes. I decided to purchase the February Pencil Class. I thought it might be easier than with markers. HA. It took me 3 days to color this picture and I still don't like it. I sent it to Alyce for her feedback but haven't heard from her. She is really good to provide help with the projects she teaches.
Maybe you can be my critics. What do you see in this picture that needs help.
Thank you for you visit today.
God Bless You !!! Peggy
I don't know how many of you use Cricut Design Space Make It Now Projects for a quick card or in need of some inspiration. There are some really pretty projects in the MIN section. Here is one I decided to make. It is called Watercolor Floral Card and it was designed by Kim Byers. It features Print then Cut watercolor flowers and a scalloped card. It was easy to make and I will send it to someone.
Thank you for visiting with me today. Love all your sweet remarks. If you can tell me something you would like to see on my blog, I will try to see what I can do.
God Bless You!!! Peggy

I do hope 2017 is going to turn around and be a good year. So far, not so good. First of all I was in the hospital in January. Last week my sister and her husband came to visit from SC. He took Max out for a walk and fell flat on his face and knocked himself out. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He had a concussion and a slight brain bleed. He had to stay 3 days. They are back home now and he is doing well. Max sent him a get well card today.
With the temperatures being Springlike it put me in the mood to work with this beautiful image Margaret Kieser of Digistamps4Joy gave her design team a few weeks ago. With everything that's happened I have not had a chance to make a card with it yet. Thank you, Margy, for this lovely image. It can be found in her shop.

We start a new challenge today at Crafty Cardmakers. The theme for the next two weeks is Add Some Texture to your project. This can be a lot of fun. If you have some texture paste or multi-media products, let's see your creations. Or you can do as I did, add texture by embossing.
The layout for this card is in Cricut Design Space Access. This is one of my favorite card layouts. I used an AG Cuttlebug folder on both the frame and the layer behind it. I tried to line them up on the embossing folder so that the design carried over to the frame. I added some multi-layered flowers and foil accented flourishes. It's ready for a sentiment. This card can be used for all kind of occasions.
Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments. I hope to see your lovely creations over at Crafty Cardmakers Challenge.
God Bless You !!! Peggy

Hi everyone, I hope your weekend is awesome. Today would have been my 57th anniversary. My husband passed 7 years ago on March 5, 2010. He went to heaven exactly 1 month after our 50th. He was the love of my life and still is. I think Donna & I are going to the movies to see "A Dog's Purpose." to celebrate. You may think that's not much of a celebration but she always does something with me on our anniversary so I won't have to be alone. I love my children so much.
My card today is for the Digistamps4Joy new release Sunday. There are quite a few cute digis being released today. I hope you will go the shop and look at all of them. Then come join the DS4J Challenge. The theme this month is Anything Goes -with a twist of Red for Valentine's Day.
Card Supplies:
5X7 card base
Background Paper - KandCo. Botanicals paper stack
Image - part of Thank Sentiments by MP of DS4J
Colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.
Butterflies were fussy cut from a sheet of paper from the same paper stack as above.
Sequins
Thank you for stopping in. I would love to hear from you.

I got pretty good news from the surgeon yesterday. First of all he explained in detail how my by-pass surgery was performed. Then he explained how one of the by-passes can fail. He said he felt like my heart was getting sufficient blood so there is nothing to do at this time. I do have a 50 - 60% blockage in another artery and if it gets worse then they will stent it later. Thank you to all those who prayed for me. God is good.
Today I have been working on some card kits for the local NHC nursing home. They have craft day every month and sometimes we make cards. I've cut all the pieces for the cards and am going to make individual packs for each card. I've put together one so they will have an example to go by..
Card Supplies:
4X5.5" card base embossed with Anna Griffin "Paisley Dance" embossing folder
The embellishments are designs from the Cricut Design Space Access. I flattened the sentiment, then print and cut it.
I hope the residents will like this Valentine. They always appreciate anything you do for them.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope the rest of your week is wonderful.
God Bless You!!! Peggy
