Hi Everyone! Now I know that I've said it before but I have to say it again - I absolutely, unequivocally have the BEST boss in the world. She was on vacation last week and before she left, she gave me a VISA gift card. Then that's not all - every day throughout the week, she would text me to tell me where my surprise of the day was located. OH MY GOODNESSSSS!! It was so much fun and made me feel so special.
Day 1: Flower Pinwheel
Day 2: Bag of Hershey's Kisses (favorite candy)
Day 3: Red and Black Drinking Glass with Cap (the kind you can take in your car and drink coffee out of) with a bag of Cashews Nuts inside (my most favorite kind of nuts)
Day 4: A beautiful smelling room diffuser
Day 5: Three movie tickets for my family to enjoy
Now didn't I tell you that I had a GREAT boss??? Well, there's just some of the proof.
So of course, I had to make her a card to thank her for her generosity. Using my Silhouette Cameo, I made the card below in less than 30 minutes. I already had my paper picked out when I decided which cut file that I would use for the card. All I had to do was place the paper in the right spot on the mat to cut the different elements, load the mat, and press cut.
Then I assembled all the pieces and then cut out the envelope which was another cut file from the Silhouette Online Store.
I can truly say that I never thought that I would love a machine more than I loved my Cricut Expression. Well, I must confess, the Silhouette is quickly becoming my most favorite machine over the Cricut.
Well, thank you for stopping by today. If you're someone's boss, think about the people that work for you and how you can make them feel special. It only makes them work harder for you. Mom and I appreciate your visits and your comments. Until another day, God Bless You!! Donna

HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY, KELLEY!! - Silhouette Cameo
Well, Hello Everyone!! YES, I am alive and have been suffering from a severe case of a lack of creativity - much to my Mom's displeasure!! She has tried her best to inspire me but to no avail!
Well, I had to come out of my funk tonight in order to make one of my best friends a card for her 50th birthday. Kelley and I have been friends for over 20 years. When I turned 50 in April, she was at my surprise party. She turns 50 on Friday and she's taking the day off work to try and ease into the half century club - probably in bed with the sheets over her head!!
Kelley and I have a lot in common and one thing we both love is Vera Bradley. So I got her a Vera wallet for her birthday. I tried to match some of the colors in the wallet in the card and the gift bag.
I downloaded the 50th birthday card from the Silhouette Online Store and cut it with my Silhouette Cameo. It is so simple to use the Silhouette that you don't really have to be very creative - which is a good thing for me right now. Just load the mat with paper attached and hit the cut button on your computer and voila, a card comes out.
I cut the card to fit a 5 x 7 envelope and then cut the rectangle frame at 4" x 6" for the gift bag. The 50th birthday is another download from the Silhouette store. I popped the 50 for extra emphasis - teehee!!
I hope Kelley will like it and I know she will love the wallet. I also put 50 pennies in the change pocket because it's bad luck to give a wallet as a gift without money in it.
Well, thanks for stopping by today - we appreciate your visits and your comments. Until another day - God Bless You!! Donna

Another Lily Card
I just got back from an evening out with Donna & two of her friends. I guess I can call them my friends too. We always have such a good time. Although I don't know why they invite an older woman along. I'm glad they do.
I have another Lily card for you today. It was drawn by Anne Fenton. She sent it to all the participants in the last Outlaws Creative Freebie Challenges. It's a very simple digi but so expressive.
Card Recipe:
5"X6.5" card base.
Background Papers - DCWV Lemon Pepper
Digital Image - Lily by Anne Fenton
Frame - Cut From the Stamping Cricut Cartridge
Border & Butterfly punched with MS punches
Promarkers used to color digi:
Lily - Tulip Yellow, Primrose
Stamen - Gold
Stickles added for glitter effect.
Again thank you for stopping by our blog. Donna & I are struggling with the decision to continue our blog. As long as we felt like we were being an inspiration, it was easy to continue posting our creations. However, in the past year, the evidence we are reaching others has declined. Most posts only warrant one comment, if that. Please pray with us about this decision. It takes a lot of time to get projects ready to post and then to write them up. If we're not reaching or touching others, there's no point in going to all that trouble. So thank you for your prayers and input. God Bless You!!! Peggy

Sandi's Lily Swag Sympathy Card
For today's card I used Sandi Huggett's Lily Swag. She is also one of the Design Team on the Outlaw's Creative Freebie Challenge. Click here to get the details on how to enter. You get 2 totally free digis per contest. A sympathy card is one I feel we should always have on hand. So I took Sandi's lovely image and made one.
Card Recipe:
5"X6.5" Card Base - This is a Silhouette Studio cut file which can be found here.
Background Paper - Anna Griffin's Carolina Collection
Digital Stamp - Sandi Huggett's Lily Swag. This image has a ribbon on the design but I colored it a color that did not go with the rest of the card so I cut it off.
Bible - cut from Inspired Heart Cricut Cartridge
Sentiment - cut from Wild Card Cricut Cartridge
Promarkers used to color digi:
Lilies - Cool Gray1 for shading
Leaves - Leaf Green, Forest Green
Stamens - Buttercup
Stickles to highlight the lilies and leaves.
Thank you for visiting with us today. I hope to see you back soon.
God Bless You!!!! Peggy

Sherri Baldy Image #799
I have had a busy crafting weekend. I worked on several cards and helped Donna make a Stationary Box this afternoon. I hope she will get it finished this week and post it. The first card I want to share with you features one of Sherri Baldy Besties Images. It doesn't have a name, just a number. It's # 799. These big eyed images are so adorable.
Card Recipe:
5"X6.5" card base made from teal green cardstock.
Doily - Cut from Paper Lace Cricut Cartridge. The doily is actually round but I used Cricut Craft Room to manipulate it to make it oval to enhance the image. I cut it from lavender cardstock.
Gemstones
I left the right bottom corner open to stamp a sentiment when I send it out. I usually leave the sentiment off until I see what kind of card I need it to be.
Promarkers used to color image.
Hair - Raw Sienna, Mustard, Tulip Yellow, Primrose
Skin - Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Baby Pink
Eyes - Green Shoot (Limited Edition Color)
Dress - Spring Lilac(Lmt Edition Color), Lilac, Amethyst, Tea Green, Grey Green
Hose - Tea Green, Grey Green
Ribbons - Tea Green, Grey Green, Lilac
Flowers - Fresh Bloom, Orchid, Spring Lilac
Shoes - Tan, Caramel
Here is a closer look at the digi.

Max's BD Card & Party
We hope you had a wonderful 4th of July and got to celebrate America's Independence Day. I am so happy to live here where we have the privilege to worship God and enjoy the many benefits of living in a free nation. Not everyone enjoys these freedoms. Frankly based on the happenings recently, I wonder how long we will have them.
Now on to my post. We don't really know when Max's birthday is but we surmised he was born sometime around July so we decided July 4th would be good. So we celebrated his 2nd birthday today. Buttons, Donna & Jacob came over. I bought special doggie treats for him & Buttons. They each got toys. Donna made Max this card. Isn't it cute? She used a cut file from Silhouette America. She attempted to make the puppy look like Buttons so Max would know it was from her. I think she got it pretty close. How about you?
Here are a few pictures from our celebration.

Clean & Simple Embossed Card
Hello, dear friends. I have been trying to get myself out of this crafting slump I'm in. I don't know if it's something in the air or what, but several of my friends in the crafting world seem to be experiencing it also. Today, I thought, okay I'm just going to make something simple. This is the outcome but I really like the way it turned out.
I cut a card out using a Silhouette Cameo file called Scalloped Card. This link will take you there. Then I embossed it with the Anna Griffin Poppy Cuttlebug Folder. These Anna Griffin folders are gorgeous. I decided instead of adding a lot to it, which I would normally do, I would lightly color the leaves on it, not the flowers. I used Tea Green for the leaves, then I added yellow stickles to the centers of the flowers. Now all it needs is a pretty sentiment label which I will add when I send it out. I think it would make a pretty sympathy card or birthday card. Do you think it needs more?
Challenges I will enter:
Creative Card Crew No Designer Paper
Inky Chicks - #7 Anything Goes
Loves Rubber Stamps - #59 Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly W- Anything Goes
Passion For Promarkers Challenge W- must use promarkers
Through The Craft Room Door -Always Anything Goes
Artistic Inspirations - - Anything Goes
C is for Challenge - - Flowers
Creative Creations Challenge Blog - Shaped Cards
Cupcake Craft - Anything but Square
Love to Scrap - (1st week) Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Pause, Dream, Enjoy - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by today. I apologize for my creative slump. Hopefully it will get better. God Bless You!!! Peggy
