BACK TO SCHOOL NOTECARDS/PURSE - MY COMMUNITY, CELEBRATE WITH FLOURISH

Hi Everyone!  School will be starting back soon so I thought I would make something for Ms. Pennington who was Jacob's teacher last year.  Just a little something to welcome her back to the new school year.  I tried to find out today what class Jacob will be in next year so that I could make his new teacher a little welcome gift too, but no luck.  They keep those lists locked up like Fort Knox until Open House the week before school starts.

I found the instructions for a card purse on Splitcoaststampers.  The directions were very easy to follow.  Here is the link to the website

I've ALWAYS loved the smell of a new box of Crayons.  We were shopping for school supplies this weekend and Jacob caught me sniffing a "new" box of Crayons.  He said, "Mom, what are you doing?"  So I explained my love of the smell.  YES, he did think I was crazy but I digress.  So it was with that thought of crayons that I decided to make the notecards/purse below:

Using Design Studio, I welded the square and tall rectangle from George and the Crayons from My Community together to form the notecard.  The picture below is the screen shot of the cut file in Design Studio.  I have this cut file saved and would be willing to share with you - all you have to do is ask.  I cut the notecards out of primary color cardstock - red, orange, and yellow.

I cut the layers for the crayons out of pattern paper to match the front of the notecard box.  This is included in the cutfile along with the words "Back To School" from the Celebrate From Flourish cartridge.

I think they turned out cute and the only thing missing from them is the "crayon smell."  Love it!!

Well, thanks for stopping by and we hope you'll come back again!  Like I said, if you would like the cut file, please let me know and I'll send it to you.  I think I'll go color something!  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

Ewe Made My Day - Thank Ewe So Much!! Designed2Delight Challenge

Hi Everyone!  I've wanted to make an easel card so I thought I would make one for the Designed2Delight Challenge using a free digi from their blog.  I printed the directions on how to make an easel card from the Splitcoast Stampers website.

I colored the digi with Promarkers.  I colored two sheep and pop dotted them together on the front of the card for dimension.
I cut the following using my Cricut Expression:

Fence - My Community Cartridge, page 39 at 2"
Sun - Doodlecharms, page 96 at 1 1/4" - I cut 2 and pop dotted them together for dimension
Grass - Plantin Schoolbook, page 69 - I used Design Studio to cut two layers of grass for the front and three layers of grass for the inside of the card.

I printed the sentiments off on cream cardstock and pop dotted them.  When the card is standing, the grass goes up around the feet of the sheep like he is really standing in a field.

I hope this card provides you with some inspiration.  Thanks for visiting and please leave a comment if you see something that you like.  Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna
