Paper A La Mode Challenge At The Outlawz - Flowers

Our theme for the Saturday Paper A La Mode Challenge at The Outlawz is Flowers.  Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.  I chose a digital image with Sunflowers & a Hummingbird.  The particular one I chose is a block and you can make the whole card with it, which is what I did.  After I colored the image, I just didn't think it needed anything else.  What do you think?  Does it need something else to make it complete?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KELLEY!! Bugaboo Digi Stamp

Hi Everyone! 

I hope you all had a good weekend!  Mine was productive.  I don't know if any of you have visited "Pinterest" or not but I've gotten so many ideas from that sight.  Mom says I've been "Pinterestized!"  I've organized my junk drawer, my medicine cabinet, and my next project is my spice cabinet.  I'll send before and after pictures of that one.  Mom was amazed at my medicine cabinet today - I thought she was going to pass out!!

Well, anyway, one of my bestest BFF's, Kelley, had a birthday.  This is the card that I made for her.  This digi is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  Don't you just love her - my mom said she looked like Kelley. 

I covered the card with patterned paper from the DCWV Love Nest paper pad and colored the digi with Promarkers.  The stamps are from Close To My Heart - the front says, "Age is just a number...." and the inside says, "yours will remain unlisted!"  Teehee - I'm actually older than Kelley by three months so she'll get a laugh out of that.

MAX WON THE BUGABOO CHALLENGE!!!!

Hi Everyone!! Guess what!!! I got another phone call from Max today! He was so excited that I could barely understand what he was saying!! I finally figured out that his card to Mom - remember the one using the Bugaboo digi "Scruffy Puppy" - won the Color Challenge over at Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.

Tammy, at Bugaboo, even sent Max a badge to put on the blog. For his prize, Max won his choice of seven free digis from Bugaboo - he told me that since I helped him make the card, I could help him pick out the digis so we could make more cards together in the future. Now, isn't he just the sweetest!!!

TO MOM FROM MAX, WITH LOVE - Bugaboo Challenge

Hi Everyone!  This is Donna but I'm making this post today for MAX.  To my surprise, I got a phone call today from MAX, Mom's precious little dog.  He asked me if I would help him make a card for Mom.  He said that he appreciated all that she's done for him and wanted to send her something to show his appreciation.  He even wrote a poem - I mean, I knew Max was smart but I had no idea just how smart.

• I used the Scruffy Puppy digi stamp from Bugaboo and used the Catch The Bug Color Challenge to make this card.  (Don't you think the digi looks like Max?)
• I covered the cardbase with papers from the Love Nest by My Mind's Eye. 
• I colored the digi with Promarkers.
• The sketch for the card came from The Sweetest Thing.
  

• Poem - written by MAX, typed by me in Word.

Now I know that Mom'll be reading this post but she'll just have to act surprised when she gets in the mail so that Max won't know I told.  He told me to keep it a secret - so mums the word!!

Going Buggy Contest Entries

Enfys Cashmore from Going Buggy is sponsoring a contest featuring Promarkers.  There will be 5 cards chosen to be displayed by Letraset at craft fairs, etc.  I made these cards to enter in this competition.  I used digi stamps from Bugaboo Digi Stamps - these stamps seem to have the same quirky sense of humor that I do.

Bugaboo Birthday Card with Paper Lace

When I saw this digi stamp on the Bugaboo website, I knew exactly the card I would make using it and the person who would receive it!! I colored this stamp using my new Promarkers my mom gave me for Christmas! Simply LOVE them and my mom for buying them for me!!

To make this card, I cut a piece of cream colored cardstock at 6" x 12" and scored it at 4" and 8". I used my bone scorer to fold it into three sections and then used a Martha Stewart Border Punch on the front of the card. I then covered the front with purple pattern paper (try saying that three times real fast) and used the same punch on the edge as I used on the cream cardstock. I placed ribbon around the card to hold it closed when tied and then cut one purple mat and one cream mat to go under the digi stamp. I pop dotted Happy Birthday on the front.

As you open the card, you will see the word "Celebrate" cut at 1" using the Paper Lace cartridge - Page 68. On the far left side of the card is the sentiment and then for the center of card, I cut Happy Birthday located on Page 53 of the Paper Lace at 3".

If you've been thinking about purchasing the Paper Lace cartridge and havent' yet, let me recommend it to you. You'll love it - so go ahead and order it!!! You won't regret it (now how's that for enabling?).
