French Manor/DoodlePantry DigiStamp

I received  my French Manor cartridge in the mail a while back and have not made anything with it.  With all our birthdays, I pulled it out today and chose the frame on Page 54 of the handbook to make a background for my card.
The pear and greeting is a digistamp I purchased from Doodle Pantry.  I colored it with Promarkers.  I really like the Promarkers.  I haven't had a chance to use Copics so I can't compare the two.

The inside top is a piece left over from the frame cut.  I inked it with brown ink and cut a Happy Birthday from Beyond Birthdays.

Thank you for looking and I hope you find some inspiration.  God Bless YOU!!!!!  Peggy

Crafters Digital Art Ctr. Challenge

The Crafters Digital Art Center, of which I'm a member, issued it's August 26th Freebie Challenge yesterday.  Some of the digi artists offered a free digistamp for all who wanted to participate in this challenge.  I downloaded them and chose "Double Rose" by Doodle Pantry to create my card.  I'm using it in a birthday card since we have so many in September.

My background paper is from the Carolina Collection by Anna Griffin.  I cut the scalloped circle from Lacy Labels Cricut Cartridge and threaded green ribbon through the openings.  I colored the digistamp with Promarkers and added stickles for sparkle.

I put my Happy Birthday sentiment, cut from Beyond Birthdays, on the inside.  The flower is a Martha Stewart punch.  The butterflies and tiny flowers are the punch outs of the EK Success Butterfly Chain punch.  I have really gotten into punches lately.  Have you noticed?

Thanks for viewing our blog today.  I hope you enjoy it enough to follow us and leave a comment.  God Bless You.  Peggy

Blue and Brown Birthday Card

Did I say I had 10 birthday cards to make?  I thought of 4 more.  This one is for a dear friend of my husband.  He's my friend too but he was especially loyal to Ben during his illness.

I've heard and read a lot of card makers say how difficult it is to make masculine cards.  It is for me.  I've given it some thought and tried to understand why.  I don't know if this could have anything to do with it or not, but could it be that we feel the male doesn't appreciate our efforts as much as our female counterparts?  However, there are some very gifted men on the Cricut Message Board and that are part of blogs, i.e., Bobby Hardgrave of the Cricut Couple.  They would definitely appreciate our efforts.  Hmmmmm....did I just go around in a circle?  What's your opinion?
Back to the card.....This card is 5X6.75.  The background paper and the striped paper is My Mind's Eye.  I got it a while back on clearance rack at HL.  The solids are from a stack I picked up at Big Lots.  I cut the two center blocks at 3" and 2.75" and layered them.  I cut the center strip at 5X1.75 and 4.75X1.5.  I added brads and pen stitching.  The stars are cut from Celebrations cartridge.  The Happy Birthday is cut from Beyond Birthdays.

Thank you for visiting our blog.  God Bless.  Peggy

Anniversary Card w/Capadia's Cut File

I used another of Diane Payne's cut files for this card.  You will find the cut file on her website,Capadia Designs, if you follow this link.  Thank you, Diane for allowing us to use your creations.

I made this card for my sister and BIL's anniversary.  The file cuts a 5.5 X 5.5 card top.  As you can see I layered the light pink over a brighter pink. The birds and hearts are from the Wedding Solutions cartridge.  I used the regular and shadow feature for them.  I think the pink pearls were just the added touch the card needed.

The hearts on the inside are from the Wedding Cartridge as well and the Happy Anniversary is from Beyond Birthdays.

If you've missed Donna posting, Jacob started school August 8th and she's been very busy with that along with her job.  However, I told her I was going to have to get after her so she would get her creative juices flowing again. LOL  I know she's shaking in her shoes.  She's such a sweetheart.

I hope you all have a great week and that the Lord blesses you real good.  Thank you for visiting our blog.  Please tell your friends about us.  Peggy
