Calendar For Grandparents Day

Hi Everyone - a tradition that I started when I got into scrapbooking and cardmaking five years ago is to make my parents a calendar every year with pictures of my son, Jacob, with his two favorite people (his Mamaw and Papaw). Jacob would present the calendar to them as their gift for Grandparent's Day. My parents live three hours from us so when we were not able to visit each other as often as we would like at least they would have a reminder of Jacob whenever they looked at the calendar.
The calendar that I gave my parents last September contains a lot of pictures of Jacob with my daddy and with my mom!! Throughout my daddy's illness, I tried to capture pictures of Jacob with his Papaw playing together, watching tv, looking at a book, or playing "men" in the floor. I wanted to make sure that Jacob would have those memories to look back on. I asked Jacob one day not long ago to describe his Papaw in one word and he immediately said, "Buddy!" He said, "he was my buddy, he always had time for me, he talked to me, and he always played with me!" Jacob idolized his Papaw and misses him greatly as everyone in our family does. Jacob has now taken on the role of being Mamaw's protector. He worries about her and prays for her every night!! I'll ask Jacob sometimes who he loves most in the world. This is always his answer - "you, Mamaw, Papaw, and Daddy." As long as I'm in the same category as Mamaw and Papaw, I consider that to be very good.
Well, I hope that you enjoy the few pictures of the calendar and will forgive my rambling on. I'm simply missing my daddy today. For this calendar, I cut the background paper at 6 x 6 and then used the Expression, Cuttlebug, and stickers to decorate the pages.

Thank you for coming to visit and we hope you'll come again! We love company!! I hope you're able to stay cool wherever you are. It was 108 degrees (yes, you read that right) today in Chattanooga, TN. Until another day, God bless. Donna
My three grandsons.

Ben & I really enjoyed getting these calendars. Every year I would keep it sitting on my crafting table. I don't think this calendar is produced anymore. It was from All My Memories, LLC. If anyone knows where we could get them now, please let us know. Thank you for allowing us to spill our hearts today. Ben was all about love and we miss him terribly. Peggy
