Well, I resisted buying the Imagine when it came out but could not resist the new Cricut Expression 2. It was premiered on April 26 on HSN. Just look at her go.
I made this card with one of the cartridges loaded on the new machine. It is American Alphabet.
Card Recipe:
5X5 card base
Paper - DCWV Cotton Blossom Paper Stack
Cricut Cartridge American Alphabet - Doily5 cut at 4", Font 3 shift and Font 3 Shadow cut at .75" all on page 61
Ribbon from Michaels threaded thru doily.
Bling
This is a very simple card but who says a card has to be hard or complicated to be pretty. I like this little card.
I'm so glad to have my internet back. Thank you for stopping by today. I hope to see you again tomorrow. God Bless You!!! Peggy

THANK YOU CARDS - Everyday Pop Up Cards
Hi Everyone! I've said it before that I work with some of the most wonderful volunteers at my job and I'm saying it again. I've told my Mom that the secret to a long life is through volunteering and giving to others.
Well, some of my little sweet volunteers brought me some Christmas presents. Thus, I made some Thank You cards using the Everyday Pop Up Cards. These were very simple cards to make - just push the buttons and assemble!
Thank you for stopping by today! If you get the chance today, share a little Christmas Cheer with someone!! Until another day, God Bless You!! Donna

SANTA CHRISTMAS BAGS - George, Trim A Tree
Hi Everyone - Have you got all your Christmas shopping done? Have you got it wrapped? Well, I'm going to Mom's house tonight to wrap some of Jacob's packages so he won't be trying to peek!! I have to get everything finished before next Tuesday because I'm having surgery and will be out of commission for a while.
With that thought in mind, I'm taking Jacob's teachers a little Christmas cheer today also. I decided to decorate some red gift bags for their gifts.
I cut a piece of black cardstock at 5 3/4" x 3 1/4" to look like Santa's belt. Then using George and Cricut Craftroom, I used the rounded square to make the belt buckle. I cut this out of white glitter paper.
Then for the gift tags, I used Trim A Tree and cut out Santa's head. All in all, I think they turned out pretty cute!!
Thank you for stopping by today! Mom and I appreciate your visits and your comments. Take time to remember the Reason for the Season and as you go out shopping, remember there are going to be lines so instead of getting frustrated, try to show Christ through your actions. Until another day, God Bless You!! Donna

Christmas At My House
I've had several people ask me to publish pictures of my Christmas decorations. There's nothing special about them. It's just that this is the first year I have decorated since my Gentle Ben went to heaven. The whole time I was decorating I kept thinking, "Ben would be so happy." He loved Christmas better than any man I know. He always tried to be the first in our neighborhood to have his decorations up. The year before he died, the kids came down and had them up in October so he could enjoy them. I have the best children in the world.
Okay, so here are some of my decorations.
Okay, so here are some of my decorations.
This is my living room
My Christmas Tree - Not lighted. It is a slim tree
Christmas Tree all lit up
I always take a big roll of wide gold or iridescent ribbon and push it into the branches of the tree as my first step of decorating it. When it's lit, the lights reflect off it and gives the tree more sparkle. I also put ting-a-ling in it. This year I only put it around the bow.
Of course, this is my fireplace with mine and Max's stockings. I used deco mesh and added a garland of white poinsettias. The JOY is a set of 3 stocking holders.
My coffee table. At first I had the tree in the middle by itself but felt the table needed something more. So I had an extra wreath, so I put it around the tree, filled in the open space around it with red balls, added some red balls to the wreath, then twirled red ribbon around the wreath.
My dining room table. Got the place mats at Kohl's at 60% off. I've had the napkins and napkin rings for a while but never used them.
My centerpiece. I filled a brandy snifter with red balls, and wrapped two sprays of white poinsettias around it. Very simple.
My front door holding the wreath I made this week. We posted it earlier this week.
My mailbox didn't escape being decorated either. I used deco mesh on it. Jacob told me it was a little fancy for his taste. LOL You never have to worry about what that child thinks.
Thank you for dropping by today. We always love to read your comments. God Bless You !!!! Peggy

IT BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!!!
Hi Everyone!
Well, Mom and I have been at it again. We have been crafting! Mom came over tonight for dinner and then we started working on a wreath that I bought on Monday at Michael's for $1.99. I also bought some floral picks and ribbon on sale for 60% off. I loves me a BARGAIN!!
I've had a hurricane vase filled with beads and red Christmas balls sitting on my breakfast nook table for two weeks now. My husband kept telling me that he didn't like the vase - he said it "needed something!" Thus the trip to Michael's and crafting of a wreath with Mom!!
Mom wrapped the ribbon around the wreath and made a beautiful bow! Then we started placing picks and Christmas balls around the wreath. We tried some picks inside the vase too but we didn't like that. Here are several pictures of the finished product.
We placed the wreath around the hurricane vase thus creating a totally different centerpiece which my husband liked.
Thank you for stopping by today. We hope you're enjoying decorating for Christmas as much as we are. God Bless You!!! Donna

Deco Mesh Christmas Wreaths
When my house sold and I moved here, Donna & I were looking forward to crafting together. With her job and her busy life, we've not had as much time as we had hoped. However, this past Wednesday she came over after work and we worked on some Christmas wreaths. I know it's not Cricut but we didn't start our blog to just post Cricut projects. Now don't get me wrong, we love our Cricut products but we take a diversion ever so often. These are the our finished products.
We used an ordinary wreath from Hobby Lobby. There are frames that you can get but we decided to use these. I decided to go ahead and start mine before Donna got here. I thought if I could figure out how to make mine, then I could help her with hers and take less time. It worked out great.
This is a picture of my wreath before I started placing the decorations on it. Our decorations came from Hobby Lobby & Wal-Mart. My green deco mesh came from AC Moore and Donna's came from Hobby Lobby.
And another before completion.
Here we are working on Donna's. She loves red. The only mishap we had was I accidentally stuck my finger in hot glue. I wanted to cry. These wreaths look great on our front doors.
Thank you for visiting with us today. We appreciate your visits and comments. I will probably post these on Pinterest since I can't post them on the Cricut Message Board. God Bless You!!! Peggy
